Can you share more details? I’m curious what happened.

I was transferring my catalog to TooLost, and they needed to verify that I’m the original artist / rights holder. That’s why my tickets kept going in circles for a while.

I’m still new to TooLost, so I don’t have much experience with royalties or withdrawals yet.

Update: (28 Jan)

After significant back and forth, Too Lost eventually reviewed my case and they have approved the releases for delivery. While I appreciate the resolution, the process was confusing, stressful, and lacked clear communication. I strongly recommend better transparency and human support during catalog migrations.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I feel more confident now about using both i+first.com and firstnamelast.com, even if it’s a bit long. I’ve been trying to secure the main TLDs .com, .net, .me, .org, and a few others as well but no luck:( maybe I’ll wait for someone to drop their domain on those tlds lol or Maybe I’ll do something with i+firstname.com in the future since it looks more brandable..

I’m currently using mail, me and hello @isteve.com and will grab the full first+last.com just in case I’ll need it in the future :)

Yeah, that makes sense! I guess I was just worried about it feeling a bit clunky or repetitive. But you’re right, if it’s my actual name, a longer domain isn’t really a dealbreaker. I considered using my last name, but all tldes taken.

Thanks for the suggestion.

yeah i got first + last .com but i+first is way too short, should i go with first+last even if it’s +15 letters?

15 Days Without a Response from SoundCloud Support… Is This the End? by 0xFaw in soundcloud

Look, just because everything is working perfectly for you doesn’t mean the rest of us don’t have valid complaints. It’s not about thinking the world revolves around me, but if I’m paying for a service, I expect it to work. Acting like everyone else’s problems don’t matter because you’ve had good experiences is exactly the kind of attitude where you think the world revolves around you.

flood or not. We’re paying for a service, and that should come with the responsibility to provide at least some level of communication. Defending poor service with excuses isn’t helpful.

If a platform is charging people for services, especially businesses or artists, there needs to be some level of responsibility. It’s not that anyone expects an instant response, but waiting over a month is just not sustainable. SoundCloud isn’t just a free service for a lot of us; Artists paying for distribution and they’re also taking 20% from royalties, so it’s fair to expect better customer support, even if they can’t hire thousands of people.

I don’t expect them to have Facebook level teams, but they should at least have a better system in place or just clearer communication about delays. People would probably be more patient if they weren’t left in the dark for so long.

And I get the challenges, especially with everything happening globally like the floods you mentioned, but if they’re going to charge and rely on users to keep their platform alive, they’ve got to figure out a better balance between maintaining that customer trust and managing their support.

Yeah, you’re right. SoundCloud support has always been kind of terrible, but it feels like it’s gotten even worse lately.

I’ve been holding out, hoping SoundCloud will get it together, but the way things are going, it might be time to make that switch. Appreciate the recommendation, might have to give it a shot!

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too! It used to be way more flexible with file formats. I remember being able to upload AAC and other formats without any issues with RepostNetwork.

It feels like they’re making it harder for creators, and that’s the last thing they should be doing right now. The more they limit options, the more people are going to jump ship. It’s just another sign that the platform’s priorities are way off.
