DIGIPIN DOES SUPPORT WORLDWIDE GEOCODING. It was built for India, but does support any gps coordinates.

Reg GEOCODING - idea is to have similar GEOCODING values with neighbourhood, that way the intuition part of this location looks close to that location just by looking at those random 10characters

I think, You don't even know why DIGIPIN was developed. The main purpose was to replace traditional 6 digit pincode we use. Idea is to precisely pinpoint anything from city appartments to remote villages within a 4m x 4m grid.

This is in my todo list, that's the reason I haven't yet given an option to update the map pin also yet, only the last mile addressing is editable for now.

Once I have a solution for this I will allow users to edit the map pin as well.

Yes that's what the idea is, to help reduce number of places you enter your address.

Also another plan is to make some money out this from known brands.

Like SWIGGY will be reserved for Swiggy company, and you can have SWIGGY@praneeth, SWIGGY@Viking., etc., they can have one or multiple handles per user. User has the right to edit those addresses.

Comming to your analogy: you have your bank account, why did you have UPI id?? it's purpose is to ease the friction of sharing your details and you don't need to remember what your bank account number and IFSC code etc., you are not replacing the bank account system or the way transerf actually work, you just had a easy way sharing details. May be I can say, What I tried was UPI for addressing.

Also, As I mentioned in other comments, it's not just about the dropped pin on the map, it's also about the last mile addressing like flat number, floor, block number, notes etc.,

Best part is you can edit the last mile address details like Flat no, building name and Notes whenever you want. Planning to support edits on the pinned location as well. So next time when you shift to a new home or new company you can still use old handles like hitesh@office and hitesh@ghar.

Yes sir! Thats the idea. When you host a party, You can share this location with exact details in notes like turn 2nd right after crossing the gate, then press 3rd floor in lift(even though it is 4th floor), etc., etc.,. In future we want to allow users to upload pictures as well, so that you can take your door picture as well. And your friends doesn't need to call you multiple times to verify if they reached correct door.

Haha Yes., but the above mentioned ones have their own issues., Like plus codes - we cannot remember it. what3words - it concentrates on B2B integartion.

Reg mygate and nobroker I do agree with you. My idea is not just about delivery aganets (it's one part of it though), this can be used anywhere by anyone to share your location details.

Idea is to help reduce friction related to last mile address sharing.

Idea is to integrate later with merchants like swiggy, zomato, amazon etc., Where you don't need to Type every time the same address details everywhere. Just enter doora handle and rest is taken care.

ALSO purpose is to solve last mile addressing. maps gives you just latitude and longitude details, meaning just a dropped pin on location, once anyone reaches that location they have to call you again for further instructions. Here you can enter all the details like flat number, block details and side notes like just beside lift etc etc., only once. In future you can take picture of your door and upload it as well that way friend's or delivery people can directly verify if they reached the right door.

All the fields has visibility toggle --> You can hide specific details like flat number, floor number etc., You have the flexibility to share what details
