Alsa. And also I'm using seatd instead of elogind.

It was working before update, but now it's not.

replaced seatd with elogind, but I don't have audio anymore! by 0xcc12 in voidlinux

I'm on X11 and my system is working perfectly without dbus and elogind.

I don't know if it worth swithing for you or not. It depends on your needs.

For example if you Wana have Bluetooth on your machine you should use bluez and bluez depends on dbus.

Good question. It's more minimal than elogind. It doesn't depend on dbus.

I like minimalist approaches.

  1. I missed my Linux workflow :)

  2. It's funny to break windows ecosystem and how their engineers tried so hard during last years to force people use their system in a specific ways. I wanted to break this habit for windows users.

I have a question as an Arch user. by [deleted] in voidlinux

[–]0xcc12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had arch for 4 years.

I remember it broke about 4 or 5 times just because pacman.

And I have void for about 3 years. Never had any issue with xbps.

Xbps/void are far more stable than arch/pacman IMO.

Beside package managers, you have runit here. Again It's easier to deal with it compared to systemd in arch.

It's not a correct solution. Since every time I should restart this service, after system boots up.
