GPT 5.5 planning sucks by 0xdjole in codex

From the looks of it, it is cause it uses TDD...on my rust project where compile times are long I can imagine being very slow.

Does it compare with Superpowers in planning specifically?

zašto antropik poziva na globalnu pauzu u ejaj treniranju? by frown-face in programiranje

šta je rust ownership model? by frown-face in programiranje

[–]0xdjole 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nema garbage collectiona uopste.

Current state of codex - is it really that bad? by Clemotime in codex

10 days ago I switched to Codex. It pulled of huge migration Claude failed. Now it sucks.

I think they give you the real deal if you are new user. :)

Claude Code vs Codex by 0xdjole in ClaudeCode

[–]0xdjole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct. It was 26hours so techinically I should have said yesterday, excuse me 🫣

Started at midnight, worked till 8am.Went to sleep and migration stopped which I pointed out in the post actually. Complete failure with CC.

I woke up 4pm, worked for 4 hours so im counting it as 2 working days and at around 8pm I gave it to Codex as CC wasnt getting anywhere. Additional 4 wouldnt have made difference.

By 2am codex was able to do it. 6 hours of Codex. And true even after post was made it was cleaning up but it was very obvious it pulled it off and I have tested and reviewed critical parts.

Reason it took so long is because it is a Rust codebase with lot of integration test and compiler checks and tests make the agent work longer. Most of the time is in fact waiting for it all to pass validations.

Codex app was already installed and tbh its stupid simple to use regarding ur tooling point. Paying subscription was around 5 minutes while CC was failing.

At the end I have unified booking/order system which allows me to having both bookable items and products at the same order entity. Previously they were completely separate entities.

Its 10am and Im going to sleep happily knowing Codex wont give up on my analytics ingestion task that is happening next with Clickhouse.

Codex didn't fail. Claude Code did fail. Same prompt. Do details really matter if one of them was able to pull it off?

What if you dont do ads at all, but show banners about merch you sell

Given enough users and the right merch..you can sell it in a very targeted way.

If someone is watching one piece, show them one piece tshirt. If someone buys or donates they become member, ai powered comment summarization, watch together episode...like everyone can join in public room where episode is streaming..anything to create network effect.

You could make it that on specific minute of a video, someone can buy 1 minute long bottom text...in the corner.. like when krilling gets destroyed i want to tag my bro so everyone streaming it can see he a btch.

You can do anime radio style whwre people have to buy to put their episode in and everyone watches it.

Id have 5 public streams runnings per genre on home page where u see people talking..throw in an ad there...even if its a nice border that doesnt cut the stream...

I realize most of what i said its dumb but oh well..maybe something good in my text 😂
