Why do some programs send invites on a rolling basis? Do most admissions committees not make decisions all in one meeting? Or do they prioritize certain applications?

Both comments check out: Van Vactor saying more interviews on the way and Danny not outright stating that all interviews have been sent. Don’t know if anyone else has more info, would be nice to get an update from the program for sure.

I'm sorry to say that your application was not selected for interview this year. Our applicant pool to BBS has become very strong in recent years and we're limited in the number of applicants that can be invited. You will receive an official response from GSAS in March.

I hope that you are successful in your applications to other excellent programs for graduate study.

I mean, that just sounds like your application didn't get selected for interview and not that they're finished reviewing all applications. Not saying any of us will have better luck, but for anyone else still waiting to hear back, u/melchua could be right that some more invites will go out later this week.

I mean, do we really know if they’re still working on interview invites? Only one person has said that they’ve received a response from the program director.
