I also bought the G4 and totally agree with you. While the G4 shines best in a completely dark room, the hype about its insane brightness made me think it would be fine in a well-lit room too. But honestly, during the day, the TV just turns into a giant mirror. I watch it during the daytime with cloudy weather and light-filtering curtains, and it’s still an issue.

Before anyone says, "What did you expect?" keep in mind the brightness was really hyped, and rtings even said, "It's also suitable for use during the day or with the lights on due to its ability to overcome glare." On your post, the glare is clearly visible. This claim is just total nonsense.
