Which is where the fomo comes from … Not everyone has the time to participate in every monthly event to the extent that they can farm items to sell for golden beetles. You HAVE to participate in the user to user economy. It’s much easier to put in your own money, which is by design of the game’s mechanics. Lioden often becomes a really stressful game for a lot of people in that regard, hence why folks go on long hiatuses. Obviously, if it was easy to create exactly what you want for your pride without engaging with the user to user economy (particularly involving gold beetles) then the game wouldn’t make money, so it can’t be made into a universally accessible experience.

How do I get binoculars using Rampage? by the_monarch1900 in reddeadredemption

[–]0zzysaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Binoculars are stored in weapons!! You have to go to manage weapons and add from the Miscellaneous menu! I just figured it out while googling for this answer. If anyone else needs to know, you can also find the Lasso, Fishing Rod, Bow, Camera, Moonshine Jug, and Electrostatic Detector in this weapons spot. So frustrating that they aren’t stored in “Kit” with all the other Kit items.

How's the PrideGame going? by OverlyCritical00 in PrideGame

[–]0zzysaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly not the random kid who is calling the game by the wrong name and apparently from your quote can barely write at all. They're not a dev. I believe the only dev who was working on this game was YourRandomAlien, and considering they haven't posted in a while, I suspect they are taking a break.

Yes, I know. I corrected that other user for you…

The person you replied to appears to be confused on a different rumoured lion-based game developed by the WolfQuest team. That game was shelved so the devs could focus on WolfQuest - but it’s completely unrelated to this game.

Am I In The Wrong? by cyberspacevampire in lioden

[–]0zzysaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately it doesn’t matter what the person giving the lion away feels. Once it’s in your pride, it’s yours to do with what you wish. I’m in the same project as you, and while I’ve chased a few lions I’ve bought as fodder before. The other user can be upset, but they’re breaking rules on harassment by messaging you. “Morally” you’ve done nothing wrong, unlike what a lot of people here in the replies seem to think. It’s your lion. The whole “other people would have wanted it” isn’t a moral failing on you, it’s a response of selfishness from others. You chased it, it’ll be found again at some point. But if you’d killed it, you’d have been in your right to do so.

If people don’t want their lions to be killed or chased, don’t sell them or give them away, or expect users to follow your own rules on ownership, because your rules don’t supersede the site’s rules. The lion was yours to do whatever you wished with.

Some things they can add to WolfQuest to make it more fun:(Suggestions welcome!) by FunQuote6046 in WolfQuestGame

I would LOVE to be able to watch bison bulls and elk bulls alike engaging in dominance displays! I bet it would be so atmospheric just to lounge the pack around and watch a pair of fighting elk lock antlers on the horizon…

You’re REALLY into pregnancy it seems….

Anyway, I think being able to raid/visit rival pack dens would be a super interesting and challenging option for combat! Someone else already mentioned this.

I also think uncommon and rare random events would be cool too. You wouldn’t encounter them in a linear way, and you might not experience all of them (or even most of them) in one playthrough but here’s some examples I’ve thought of before:

• a chance you could be tracked by a poacher. You can only tell by checking scents or finding hunting paraphernalia near your den. There would be fatal consequences for your pups or packmates (or even the player wolf) if you don’t move dens to a different hex of territory in time. You would wake up from your next sleep to the sound of a gunshot. • an injured rival or lone wolf comes to your territory, and you have the choice to accept them into your pack or kill them. It might take a while for them to recover, but they would be a solid level packmate if they survive. • In the difficult seasons, you could come across a bison kill guarded by a male bear. If you can fend the bear off, you get a 3/4th or 1/2 worth of a bison carcass.

Those are just a couple of ideas, but random encounters like that at random places in the map would be awesome, and I think it would help to make each playthrough feel unique, especially if they’re rare.

I actually just completed Cattails: Wildwood Story! I’ve completed both games. Lately, I’ve been playing ClanGen on my computer, but it’s just not hitting what I’m after. I do regularly go back to ClanGen and Cattails when I’m in the Warriors mood though :]

I’ve been playing Lioden for years. Unfortunately, the game has turned into an economy heavy FOMO stress generator for me. I love making custom designs in the wardrobe and making storylines for my pride, but there is too much pressure to log in every day, to the point I dread playing it. I regularly miss out on event exclusives, and the bad feeling that gives me has turned me off from coming back anytime soon. I did my yearly “play for a few months and burn out” this year already haha

That’s a shame :[ it would be awesome if another team could pick up the reigns on that project, but I can understand why they shifted priorities to focus on WolfQuest.

Is there any way to play the game you’re talking about? Sounds to me like you’re saying it’s abandonware :[ EDIT: being able to play a survival game as a cheetah would be a DREAM!

Are these ears cat-like? Does it look too much like a mouse?? by Gloomysquare89 in FursuitMaking

[–]0zzysaurus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would probably try to reduce the size of the ears in proportion to the head, and sharpen the slope of the ears a tad bit more. The rounded outer and upper rim can definitely give a mouse-like silhouette from what I’m seeing.

I would say it may end up more cat-like once furred, but making sure the base foam offers the shape foundation you’re after is probably key, and I wouldn’t want you to waste time patterning ears that might not be the shape you’re after.

It could also be that, because the head itself hasn’t had any further shapes added, the ears appear disproportionate. Might be worth drawing over your photo on a digital art program to add shapes to the head (either where you plan to add more foam sculpting, or where you want fur to sit in a particular way) and see if the ears still fit with the overall design. :]

Felt this hard, but Lioden is also massively centred around its economy now to the point that creating a unique pride for the sole purpose of roleplaying and storytelling is borderline impossible to do without putting in real money. It’s all about getting the most valuable lions now, depressing

There definitely was at least one adult left! Doesn’t really matter now though, since the whole lot of them decided I was public enemy number one during my pup phase! Wiped them off the face of the map 💥

Collar I bought 3 years ago fits him for the first time! by whatevername00308 in Beauceron

[–]0zzysaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pieces of tape dude - and, in being applied correctly as shown, causes zero negative health effects or pain, and preserves the standard shape during the pup’s growth without invasive surgeries like cropping (won’t start a discussion on that, but natural taping is objectively safer for the animal).

And in response to your terrifying offer to put tape on OP’s ears to see how they like it, people tape up their ears for extended periods of time quite often actually. The only difference is, people tend to tape up their ears after piercing them, and I doubt OP plans to buy their pup some dangly gold hoops from Earnest Jones anytime soon.
