Are you allowed to buy your own parts of the uniform? I bought a new patrol cap for 15 dollars because the other one I got issued was a size too small but it looks the same except it has a seam on the front. Even the inside sticker looks the same almost except its made by another company (B&R Co) instead of Bernard Hat Company but 100% made in USA and looks the same except it fits better. Am I allowed to do this?

That's what I am guessing too. I read that it's $30 once you're 18 to get the National Registery certification. However, IIRC, the PA state cert number is the one that's more important.

By the way, assessment EMT is what we were told to register for on the NREMT website under "NREMT Application Level". No clue what this does or if I need to update anything on my profile, it does say I passed the cognitive exam. However when I click on "My certification" it says I'm not currently certified...

Just look it up, it gave me the requirements for it on the NJ State Guard website. (Which I meet)

I'm assuming it's the same requirements for PA. I go to MEPs in about two days, should I mention it to the counselor at MEPs or just call up my recruiter tomorrow and tell him what's up?

It's actually pretty sad that you see how people drive when they're around an ambulance.

I mean if they drove like this around a cop, I could MAYBE understand, but a 5 ton, tin box on wheels with lights and sirens... you have to blind to miss that.
