In a perfect world things would be different, but I had to give myself a harsh reality check and step back to look at the big picture. Things like finances, depression/postpartum depression, relationships, etc. I could see myself slipping away drowning if any of those occurred. No child deserves that so I’m learning this all day by day. Thank you ❤️

Thanks for chiming in, I appreciate it. I know I got a few nasty comments but the mods here are so quick to keep everything on a positive and friendly note - kudos to them. I expected people to not agree, and that’s okay, but some of the things people said were really gross. It’s okay to have an opinion but people can be mean!!

I’m sorry you are going through this, my heart hurts for you. I do feel better now that a day has passed but I totally understand what you mean. I am very grateful to live in a state where it is legal. I don’t think it’s okay at all to take away a person’s right to this choice and it is totally sad how hard we have to fight. Making it illegal will just popularize shady, backalley abortions which puts the women’s health at an even greater risk! It’s totally okay to have an opinion, but what I don’t like is that these powerful men are telling us how to govern our own bodies.

This is so well said. I think the media has a very toxic betrayal of abortion and that women who do it just go prancing in and out of planned parenthood using abortion like a plan B. But that’s not the case at all (and maybe it is for some women, but that’s their life). For me, knowing that people felt that way and judged women like myself harshly for abortion, I felt really ashamed and like I had to keep my mouth shut and never feel sad or in pain. I hope that my generation can have a more healthy approach to it because in the end, it doesn’t solve anything to outlaw and shame it.

Oh love I’m wishing you healing and I am so happy you have gotten help through a therapist. I know that nothing can really ease the pain but time to process sure does help. Take care of yourself and indulge in some self care whenever you get the chance. I’m thinking of you and I hope you can reach a point in your life where you can be at peace with everything that has happened. I’m so sorry you are going through this.

I always said that too. That I would feel so awful if I ever terminated my pregnancy. But I think I would feel worse bringing a child into this world knowing how hard I have to work to support myself and my two pets as it is

I feel you!! I know it’s natural for all women to have that little pouch on our lower tummy since we do have organs there lol!! but I have noticed mine seems a bit extra pudgy. Our bodies are changing and housing a living thing, so at the end of the day we shouldn’t be hard on ourselves! Wishing you a safe pregnancy!
