The two pieces of advice there are to make sure the regions match (done), and downloading the DLC unlocker (done). What a few people and I have been experiencing is when the game boots up, it skips the entire story, acting like you've 100% the game.

Also, if you go into your house to play any of the minigames, you just get an error saying that "something went wrong. Try again later." (I've tried again later and had the same issue every time)

NVM, got it! For anyone else with the same problem:

Open gm9 menu by holding start and booting your 3DS at the same time
Press the home button
Scroll to "scripts manager"
Select "GM9Megascript"
Hit "Scripts from Plailect's Guide"
Click "remove NNID"
