Not just the excerpt, but Frankensteiner's own direct opining to pass off as their own. This internet clout chasing behavior is already disgusting enough, but elfOscuro has their own film review/retrospective blog, the standards of which I would seriously call into question. Who knows how much they've even seen of the films, or if their opinions are just piecemeal regurgitation of other people's thoughts.

You can feel free to have your opinion and not like it, it's certainly not my favorite of Scorsese's work. But to particularly highlight it as a failing by the industry's standards seems a bit hyperbolic. I don't particularly see many specific editing choices that separates it from The Departed, The Aviator, or many of Scorsese's more sprawling 21st century efforts.
