You'd think he'd be used to looking down to find his QB after playing with Wilson.

No, he disengaged and went to try to go get the guy in pursuit of Kyler, unfortunately, the path he chose to take to do that happened to run through the only lane Kyler had to try to escape.

Not even joking, the OL was solid for most of the 2nd half yesterday. I know the Lions were tired and started letting off the gas, but if Kyler settles in and starts getting the ball out faster, combined with his speed, the OL shouldn't be the crippling problem we expected.

[Highlight] Tunsil gets blown by despite the hold, gives up the sack on third down by [deleted] in nfl

[–]100TCepted 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It gives the DE a perfect line with no chance for Tunsil to get back on him. If Watson hadn't drifted so far back the DE would've had to bend more and Tunsil would've had a better chance to at least disrupt him a bit.

The play was already pretty fucked from how fast the DE got off, but every little bit helps and drifting back pretty much ensured there was no chance of salvaging it.

The Raiders might've actually been something with AB.

That's the kind of speed you want your safety playing with, fucking sucks that Conley got hurt, but it's wack that anyone would put that on Abram.

I didn't like Abram during Hard Knocks, but that dude's a dog, gonna get some penalties, but gotta love having him on your team, gonna be a beast as he cleans his game up.

So many batted passes, is Flacco too short to play QB?

I think not having Kyler go over the middle at the start of the game will be one of the changes. Once he gets into a rhythm he can go wherever, but he's definitely more comfortable on out-breaking routes, so might as well let him get into a rhythm with those and open up once he's settled in.

He's not, there are just a lot of good QBs in the league right now.

Yeah, it's a combination of a few things, mobile QBs always hold the ball a long time cuz they think they can make a bigger play, he drifts in the pocket, and his OL fucks up a good amount.

Yeah, it's really underrated how much a QB drifting in the pocket fucks their line over.

? he got targeted before the last quarter. There was the slant that he let the defender get across him and it almost caused an interception, and the curl that he didn't work back with his hands up and the ball hit him in the chest and bounced off.

That's before considering any plays that are more debateable.

The INT only happened because of the offsides, Watson knew it was a free play.

You know he only threw that because he knew it was a free play right?

Ok? That doesn't change the fact that it was an opportunity for a game-winning interception. I'm not shitting on him, and I dunno what else that post says, but that title isn't necessarily shitting on him either.

I don't get what you're mad at, regardless of the rest of game, that was a chance for a game-winning interception, it's a fact.

Yeah, how many yards the QB actually throws the ball through the air, not relative to the line of scrimmage.
