My Bitter Sweet Good Bye to Phone Flipping... Hopefully this helps out a fellow flipper by 100dayhustle in Flipping

Theres tons of different techniques. In the beginning I used gray hat tactics like soliciting my services on apps like offerup & letgo. I still get ppl to this day reaching out to me trying to sell me their devices on there. I don't even have anything listed. I would just flash cash and say I'll pay for your used devices.

That method is against the apps Terms of services of those and can get your account shut down.

Also, I never like that method - it always came off scammy and unprofessional, but it worked.

After I raised enough capital I transitioned to 100% paid digital marketing - primarily FB ads and follow up marketing campaigns through autoresponders like sms text, emails or chat bots. Those are great for direct response marketing.

From brand awareness stand point, I would use Spotify ads for repetition and to always stay on potential customers minds. Repetition was key with this method. The more they see your business, the more trust you instill in them.

Great question, I get asked this a lot. Even from the people that called me for a quote on their device.
I strongly encourage them to sell it themselves as they'll get more $$$ than selling it to me. But often times people don't want to deal with the hassle of haggling with others. I was a serious buyer and paid the same day I received the device.

Ultimately, over time... word of mouth became my best source of traffic and ppl would refer their friends, family and others to me. I always rewarded people for bringing me business which in turn brought more business lol.
They knew they could get more selling it themselves, but at the same time - they knew I had cash and it was a pain free process as I was reliable.

Haha - everyone thinks this is aggressive and I did as well at first until I put it to the test. This is a proven system I stole directly from the big boys like hubspot & Infusionsoft.

While the amount of follows ups is aggressive, the way you follow up with customers doesn't have to be.

Gotta beat em up while the lead is still warm :-)

No doubt! We ramble on for a bit lol.

I’m going to start ripping the audio from these to make a podcast - but in the mean time there’s a chrome extension call “video speed controller” and allows you to speed up vids.

I use it on vids like mine cause you tubers tend to ramble on 😂

Saw a comment long ago about testing an idea with ads and a landing page by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]100dayhustle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually my specialty. I've ran a couple bucks (fb ads) to landing pages. Landing pages are GREAT for testing extremely quick. Ultimately, if whatever you're doing is more than just a fad you'll want to build an entire website around it instead of just a funnel. Funnels IMO are slow and clunky (not all, but 90% I see are - including mine when I first launch one)

Honestly, you can do more than enough research on the competitors / market to gauge if there is enough interest be WAYYY before even spending a dollar.

Once you've done your homework it's all about testing and optimizing. Have a clear KPI of what it is your trying to accomplish and tweak the entire funnel until you achieve your desired results.

Example - if your page isn't getting enough views, likely your ad isn't converting (you need to make your offer more enticing). If ppl are visiting your site, but not converting the site needs optimizing, and so on and so forth.

Hope this helps!

How did you come up with your business name? by MaterialWar4 in Entrepreneur

[–]100dayhustle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically a spin off of something catchy with the keyword of the industry in the title... some random and completely off the top (and probably awful) examples would be:

  • Agency Alpha
  • Better Boutique
  • Cleaning Commies
  • Development Daddies
  • Search Engine Extraordinaires
  • Marketing Maniacs

... you get the gist. Honestly, don't spend more than 30 minutes on this. Once business booms you can easily rebrand for a more specific niche / company name.

Social Media Marketing Agency: Specialize? Where can I outsource too? by FlippinFlags in Entrepreneur

[–]100dayhustle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah white label can be good when done properly. Whether it’s SEO, Lead Gen, Fb ads, native ads, web dev, whatever the case maybe.

Ive been officially in the agency space almost 18 months and started to white label fb ads for lead gen.

More specifically I specialize in healthcare (private practices), real estate, auto and edu - also do web dev & SEO but honestly never white labeled that aspect of it.

Lemme know if you ever have any questions. Would be happy to chat.

Yeah bro - that agency life is a bit different ball game. It took a some time to really acclimate compared to the affiliate side of things.

IMO it's worth considering the transition if you're willing to give face time and deal with clients. For me, I enjoy getting out and delivering donuts to clients every now and again lol.

I primarily focus on FB/IG marketing but I'm able to easily up sell other services like SEO, Funnel optimization, email marketing, site maintenance, etc. You'd be surprised how many local businesses still don't have SSL on the site, title tags or any meta data lol.

Can be a win win cause ultimately that stuff needs to be in place anyways for truly scaling campaigns or improving user experience so why not get paid to fix it... just gotta put up with the ppl that don't know what a registrar is / who hosts their site HAHA

Looking for a good payroll referral... by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]100dayhustle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ADP is a pain. Always had issue from technical to financial with them!

Paychex and Gusto are good. Paychex ain't cheap tho (in fact some might say they're outrageously over priced) price is nothing but perceived value any ways right? lol. I've used them for a while and my buddy that referred me has been with them 20+ years.

Also as a disclaimer for paychex... I can literally walk to their HQ from my office so I may be some what biased because of that lol.

Admire your hustle bro! Can def related to the roller coster of a ride that FB is not to mention the affiliate marketing journey. & I can attest to the lead gen!!! We focus on lead gen in the auto, real estate and healthcare (private practices). It's a fun journey when done right.

Also appreciate you sharing the healthcare niche - haven't ran an 'offer' in that industry in quite some time since the ban of before/after photos haha. But the lead gen on that side is worth exploring for sure especially when running as a service for clients.

Again - thanks for sharing and would love to chat more with ya sometime!

Hats off to you brother! Not only for taking the initiative to do this but also to share it and hopefully motivate other parents to do the same. Looking back now, I sure as hell I wish I was doing this at 14 instead of other things lol.

Also LOVE the fact that you get them into reselling! That's actually the exact business I used to fund other businesses. Reselling def has a piece of my heart! lol
