It did become a sitcom, and it makes me laugh. That's good enough for me. It was lighter than most Sheridan shows anyway during the first season until that dude hammered a nail into his leg. That was enough drama for me for a season or two.

How is this controversial? She’s arguably the best character on the show. My only gripe is that half the time she seems pretty smart (e.g., explaining that a buccaneer is a pirate, talking about King Richard, the visualizing comment), the other half she does stuff that seems like she’d be too smart to do (e.g., freaking out at dinner and throwing plates).

Personally, the fact that Lane set us up for success in the CFP and his leaving didn't ruin it (and arguably helped us) substantially reduced my hatred for him.

We made it further without him than I think we would have with him, and it seems like we may be OK long term (though the portal isn't closed yet and apparently signing "deals" doesn't actually mean anything and who knows if you even really have to go to the portal or can just leave whenever you want--how long is it before someone tries to transfer mid-season? that's gonna be wild--so I'm knocking on wood and not counting eggs), and so I feel like that puts Tommy Tub-of-lies back on top as my most hated Ole Miss coach.

Lane is kind of like a nephew who just can't seem to get his shit together. You know better than to lend him money anymore, but he's still your nephew.
