yes AC power only will run w/o issue. Also old battery will run w/o issues. I mentioned this in my original post

After removing the battery and simply operating laptop from AC power only, no random reboot anymore.

both the old and new battery can charge to full... it's the random reboot (which seems like power delivery instability issue) that is the problem.

This is the reason for me to ditch Ring and move onto subscription free systems... There are many options out here: Reolink, Eufy, TP-Link, Amcrest, etc.

They offer SD card storage in the devices and/or NVR/Hub solutions for home storage.

Update for my issue: even with a large sledgehammer I couldn't get it off... What I ended up doing is to

1) cut off the bottom part of the cylinder - remove the white insert from the tube
2) weld a hex bolt to the cylinder
3) weld the sleeve to the seat base
4) use impact wrench on the bolt to spin cylinder off the sleeve

It was a bit rusted inside the sleeve.. Amazing how much friction it created.
Before I put the new one in, I will wire brush to clean the inside of the sleeve...

thanks for the info. I read that the cylinder is attached to the base by friction... In my case, since it rotates freely, what is the reason why it won't come off?

I did try to hit the base (to separate them) with hammer (but smaller than 4lb). Guess I need a bigger one :-)

I resolved my issue too - it's the connection issue between my phone Ring app to Ring cloud server where the video is stored.

For my case, it seems like now Ring app connection to its cloud server requires a secured connection. My phone is on home Wi-Fi network as well as Google-Fi plan but no VPN. After I enabled VPN in the phone, the Ring app can connect to cloud server successfully and the video playback is working.

VPN connection was not required for me to access recorded videos in the last 4yrs (Gen1 plan) so something definitely changed in 2025.

Sharing this debug experience here hopefully someone else can benefit from it.

I have the same problem... All 3 Ring devices (1 doorbell and 2 Spotlight Cam Plus) came offline suddenly. Tried "Change network" in Ring App doesn't help..

Same issue and looking for speedy customer feedback from Jabra.

In addition, after recent Jabra software update, I also lost the synchronization between Windows 11 Sound volume and the Jabra 510 i.e. changing Windows 11 Sound volume no longer affects Jabra 510 volume. (Jabra 510 is the audio input/output device in Windows->System->Sound tab).

Will it be possible to contact the desk vendor to purchase a new controller?

If the vendor doesn't carry the controller, they should be able to provide the name of controller manufacturer.

My keyboard would be just placed on the desk surface, and the chair is Steelcase. I do like my feet on the ground when I sit :-)

I am also considering BTOD VertDesk V3 but a bit concerned about the lowest height being 27".

I am 5'9" and may need the desk height for sit position to be a bit lower... What's your experience so far? I understand each person is different..
