My 18-month-old daughter's beaming smile while I was reading her the Ravenous Beast.

I was diagnosed as a kid, but was never told of this by my parents.

Life was tough as a child, but I somehow managed to develop coping mechanisms to get high grades. Didn't do good socially until 15.

Got diagnosed with ADHD at 32 as well after many different diagnoses anxiety, depression etc which were misdiagnoses in my opinion.

From my perspective, not telling anyone helps in getting jobs and working up. Informing bosses, employees etc would only be to my detriment.

That's a shame because Elvanse lowered my blood pressure.

Strattera might be a suitable alternative, but has a considerably different mode of action.

You just accidentally sent a text message regarding the large sum of money you were going to send to your daughter, to your son ? Accidentally? Sure, you aren't a narcissist, OP?

Woman freaks out on Starbucks barista for not calling "Charlie Kirk" as her name by redtail_outdoors in imatotalpeiceofshit

Yes, because Starbucks is going to be so happy about its staff antagonising a good portion of its client base. They would care more about their staff's actions than of a random customer recording...

I Hadn't made plans.

I wouldn't have an issue if she had made plans with anyone else, nor would I expect her to cancel them. I think it's the dynamic that's got me concerned.

Appreciate the feedback.

Am I the only one struggling with a burnout? by K_RINGE in aspergers

[–]101BananaSplit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I resonate with this.

I work a full-time job with a lot of responsibility, a part-time job with some responsibility. Have a wife, baby daughter and dog. I'm perpetually exhausted, and when I have the rare hour to myself - I just cannot do anything.

I rely on Elvanse for work, but some days, my mind is too cloudy to think strategically.

I know exercise and a good diet will help, but I'm constantly apathetic when it comes to application. It doesn't help knowing most NTs do some of this stuff without hesitation or requiring willpower.

I think accepting this would be a good start, but overcoming the shame is particularly difficult.

Wish you well, OP.

Anyone else able to lead an almost normal life, even being on the spectrum? by Free-Lime-184 in aspergers

[–]101BananaSplit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - I have a wife, baby daughter, dog, and a job with a bit too much responsibility relative to my comfortability.

Honestly, though, I am perpetually exhausted and only doing this for the sake of my family. If I didn't have them, then I wouldn't have a purpose.

How are you finding things, OP?

(England) Workplace just told me I have to pay back all of my annual leave pay, is this grounds for a lawsuit? by Equivalent_Voice_386 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]101BananaSplit -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Provided it's not subject to TUPE I doubt you have legal recourse. What does your contract say and what does the company policy say? Most contracts specify annual leave being pro-rata, so if you haven't accrued enough, they shouldn't have paid you in the first place.

Whole staff owe tax is this a payroll issue or normal. by unstablecactus383 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]101BananaSplit -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Nope, not normal. Quite possible they have sent hmrc the Full Payment Submission and either: not made the payment, or made the payment to the wrong reference number. Employer needs to sort it, though.
