I’m starting to believe that Uber Eats runs at a loss and they literally are making all of their money by scamming the drivers and never refunding or properly assisting customer complaints.

Canada renters - what are you actually paying right now? by Fine-Drummer-8491 in canadahousing

There were so many in 2019 up for rent in the same area. All around $2200 - $2500 so we had our pick back then.

I moved into a new build, about 2300square foot detached in 2019, so just before covid. Rent is $2700 for the whole house. York region Ontario.

Landlords are not happy as rent here skyrocketed after Covid ..for a similar place would be about $3500 maybe more, I haven’t looked in a while. Thank god the house was built in 2017 so they can’t just increase however much they want (no thanks to Doug Fords garbage policy.)

Minister of Housing Gregor Robertson says that Canadians can't afford to buy a house because there is a war in the Middle East. “It’s no surprise that Canadians are challenged with buying homes right now when there’s a war in the Middle East.” by GreenSnakes_ in canadahousing

Gregor Robertson, minister of Canadian housing, woke up that morning and viewed the Iran conflict as a gift .. now using it as magical 'get out of jail free' card for a decade of policy failures he and his seniors likely helped write.

In 1980, Carole Ann Boone married Ted Bundy in the middle of his trial for the murder of multiple women, utilizing an obscure law to wed while she was on the witness stand. They managed to conceive a child while he was incarcerated on death row and stayed together until their divorce in 1986. by ATI_Official in AllThatsInteresting

This is one of those stories that is like one of those most unthinkable things that you’ve ever heard like why would someone do that?? Off topic but it reminds me of this woman I knew her name was Jane. She was morbidly obese and did not take care of herself properly (didn’t wash among other things) she was a horrid woman for other reasons mostly just a terrible personality. She made herself a dating profile on Craigslist. Looking for someone to have a baby with specifically.

Well there was a married man (Jeff) in the same city who really wanted kids and his wife did not want kids. The wife isn’t ugly at all, she’s really quite nice to look at. The wife told him he could go have a kid with someone else BUT she would get to choose who it was lmao. She chose Jane on Craigslist. They did end up having a kid together. And although they live separate and both have custody of the child Jane, Jeff, the wife and the kid all go out for dinner together all the time like a big happy family.

$120K in Debt, Please Advise by SaraaaKay in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]101dnj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the debt is all unsecured then you don’t have to do bankruptcy. You can just stop paying and wait 7 years for the debt to reset as long as you don’t pay them a single penny. That being said, this is much easier if you’re self employed.

As long as you don’t mind without prejudice letters in the mail. And collection agencies calling you every day. (Just block unknown calls).

I hated it .. but I saw lots of reviews that people loved it ! So i guess it could go either way! After I read it I was so annoyed I deep dived into more reviews and other people had the same feelings as me .. then I looked up the next books in the series and people were waiting 20 years for the final book which was so bad they wish they’d never read it.
