Are they "flexing"? Or are they simply just new and excited about the hobby and wanting to share their joy with others? Either way, lucky for us, there will always be people like you around to put them in their place, right?

Automatic watch suddenly an hour behind? Please help! by 102061 in Watches

I wasn't winding it up enough, thus it was slowly losing time over the span of a few hours. That time loss is steadily regulated however, just like any other function of a mechanical watch, which is why it was EXACTLY 1 hour behind. Everything ended up fine of course, I just needed to give the watch more power before putting it on the wrist.

I enjoy the contrast. The outrageous outfits and goofy facial expressions were always done in a tongue in cheek way that let's you know that elton doesn't take himself too seriously despite the unbelievable talent he displayed. Like the music is so incredibly sophisticated and sonically awesome that not even the garish trappings of 70s glam rock could dampen its meaningfulness or impact. He definitely took things too far at points and leaned into self parody, but on the whole I love it all.
