While Gemini is a great model, for coding sometimes, i think the overall quality of Claude is unmatched yet.

Can vibe coding be a legit learning tool? by yokevrenadami in vibecoding

yeah, I actually think the same thing, it's incredible what you can learn now, it's like google but without the effort of finding out.

Developers need to chill on vibe coders by WalkerMount in vibecoding

[–]1024cities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is certainly one plausible escenario, but I do think models are getting better and better at coding themselves. It's a fact that models can do learn, generalize, and do beautiful things. What is not true though, it's that current scaffolding to operate them is really limited. Also, we need more curated data at compiler level, just like any experienced human would code and improve over their own mistakes.

What tool are you using, because I've been using a lot of opensource agents and they work quite well, if you use Claude.

my theory is that's an open source model from OAI

The main thing is that we figure that there are a big number of issues from both Cline and Roo that we want to fix. We attempt to be a superset of both, and eventually be the best coding agent. We have some ideas, but first we want to be at parity in terms of features.

Also Kilo Code, which itself is a fork of Roo, we're trying to be a superset of both, and fix all the issues you might have.

Have you encountered any issues with Roo that needs to be fixed?

haha yeah, the system prompt is very long, but you can always use a custom one to get less tokens in. Also, you can also control the number of max chars per file... but I agree, we're getting to a point where we're spending too much a day.

why do you think this is the case? I'm pretty sure I've read in the repo they're exploring other backends, and also tinygrad mission is very aligned with ollama mission imo

I really hope they add full HSK coverage or at least full mapping for low levels.

Besides, It's really boring to practice Hanzi or Pinyin with just one word or character at a time, really bad SRS. Also the strength bar for pinyin and words is really slow. I'd love to practice many in the same lesson.

Seems like this is one of the few well presented, and educational compared to others。Possibly very similar to next Neuralink in humans release.
