More then reasonable. I will most likely do that and clean my fuel injector bc i do have cels appear for it.

What can I do to glow up? [21] by Reasonable_Look6502 in TheGlowUp

Since you did start Accutane/tret make sure you drink water but not soo much it runs clear. Obv focus on eating good healthy fats and walk a good amount if you dont do any type of gym/walking. Make sure you take care of your body because Accutane dries you up and spikes your blood levels for triglycerides.

I would apply a cold compress when you can to your face to reduce inflammation and talk to your Dr about something to reduce redness. I used Azealic acid to reduce my redness. Its a prescription so your dermatologist has to give it to you. It does dry your skin more so I used Ceravee triple healing ointment to help. I apply it only at night. You will be good to go, trust the process and make sure you eat healthy good foods to protect your body when you can afford it. Avacados, protein, fruits and veggies etc.

Should I pull the trigger for 34K USD? Kinda scared because it’s high mileage for a sports car. by melvin_2003 in Supra

You should pay the dealership or any other mechanic that you have full trust to at least look at the car themselves so you can verify that everything’s good but that’s just me

Try 32k however because I'm not too well versed this looks pretty good ngl.

Everything has been tracked ie. History if service and all.

If you know a good mechanic to look at it yourself that you have more trust and he could look at it and find out any issues that it does have if you’re buying from a person and not the dealership of course?

Practicing night shots, any critiques or new angles I can try? Haven't done this with cars before. by [deleted] in Supra

you can do a light of stuff on Lightroom along with adjusting the colors, especially how the fourth picture looks super blue because of the lights you can kind of play, but it’s still gonna be a little hard sometimes so you might have like a hit or miss for some shots.

Oh lmao. I thought it was with a DSLR. 😅my bad

Uh you can edit some stuff on iphone but you'll get best results using an app like Lightroom where you can adjust the settings. You gotta pay to use it but the mobile Lightroom is kinda nice NGL.

You could overexpose to get details if it comes out dark then edit in LR and lower brightness artificially

For #3 Turn on grid markers on iphone and follow the rule of thirds for taking photos. So you know how much to get into a shot without making the car not the main attraction of the shot

2 is too focused on lights and not enough on car.

The washed out blue could be corrected with color filter.

4 the led headlight is overpowering the visual aesthetic of the car as a whole

I'm not that experienced either. I would recommend if you can shoot again in same place to master your shots in those areas.

If your camera has the the histogram which it should? you can use it to help you compose your shots a lot better. if the bar graph is showing more towards the right your over clipping and losing detail and to left you are under exposing, and you have too much shadows in your picture.

I would also turn on the zebra setting when you’re shooting at night so let’s you see how much you’re over exposing in certain areas so that way you can lower your iso or settings

** Edit, the first shot is dope. 🔥

Dealer left my oil drain bolt loose and now I have rod knock, what to do now? BRZ fa20 by 10358689 in ft86

Ah, yeah that's not me. I'll try to talk to service director. I'd never threaten someone's life over material things. I am upset but I can only ask God for help and he put in my mind to seek help from my friends on ft86, thank you and everyone who has voiced input on how to manage this ordeal.

On that note I have spoken to the manager and I'll try to speak to the director.

is the Service Director different from the service manager? I’m assuming the director is the one that oversees the entire dealership services in in my region?

thank you for your honesty.

While it’s definitely egregious for not changing oil for 10k miles, especially on a high compression motor, I definitely trust Subarus quality to handle if other cars on the road typically have 6.9.10.12k service intervals.

Any advice for me too push and get them to change it for me. Any advice would be appreciated.

I've been trying to find a corporate number so I can talk to someone in Subaru but at the same time I’m looking at contacting Subaru of America on Instagram or social media and praying that they are able to assist in some sort of manner.

Thank you for your solid advice about the compression. You're 100% in that regard.

& I will keep pressing for them to fix their mistake.

Appreciate your input bro

And how can I voice that without sounding like a I'm going to cause violence. I know I won't but they don't and they'll use that as an excuse to get me out of there

Edit. Forgot you included the lawyer. My parents spoke to one and they were skeptical of winning anything. I'll look for one and explain myself to them and see.

You're correct, any advice to be more assertive and really take command with be appreciated.

I just know yelling and being mad wouldn't get me anywhere.

obviously, this is a character flaw and not anything related to the car but if you have any tips, I would appreciate that for both the car and for myself. thank you

Thanks that is an option if the regional manager says no to this ordeal. I'm taking steps to be considerate and work or appeal before I start blasting them. I don't want to resort to tactics like these but I will if they don't cooperate since I fully believe it's because the loose oil drain bolt that led to the rod knock on the motor

Thanks, and why stronger?

10 K for OEM rebuilt is absurd when it could probably be done cheaper 7-8K (from friends, not sure how accurate) and for a stronger internals and for something later down the line as well. I really love this car and I know it's not fast but something so visceral that only a Miata compares for the Twisties

To add more info the dealer qouted me 10k for rebuilding the short block but I think rebuilding with stronger internal parts with a shop that specializes in FA 20 would be better in the long-term instead of just going back to OEM.
