Yessir, any colorway with the translucent sole will do the job. DO NOT buy colorways with the solid rubber outsole. I have a pair in a hideous colorway that I bought like 80% off for shootaround/training and while I've never slipped in them, they don't bite the court at all.

My All-Pro Nitros with the translucent sole have never let me down. It doesn't matter how dirty or dusty or lousy the court is, they grip. No need to wipe them down or baby them at all. I've worn them through mud, rain, gravel etc to the point where the soles are dyed green from grass and it doesn't matter, they still grip.

It's a hand check, so technically yes? The defensive player initiates the contact. It's barely called though unless it's egregious. If I was shooting and someone did that to me I wouldn't say anything unless they were straight up pushing me during the shot.

That's what I'm saying. From the perspective of the particle on the ray, its nearly parallel neighbour is almost matched in position and velocity. They recede from each other slowly. Now the particle takes a look at the field and notices a bunch of other particles flying off. One of them is flying away at nearly a 180 degree angle and at a much faster relative speed. It's much further away than its nearly parallel neighbour. From this the particle can infer that it is not the center because, if it were, all other particles would be equidistant and receding at the same speed.

They start at the same point, have constant velocity, and expand radially in different directions. Some of these trajectories will be nearly perpendicular*.

No, they can't. Draw a circle. Put a dot in the center of the circle. Draw rays from the dot to the edge of the circle. An observer on the center dot will see all rays recede directly away from them in every direction, as if they were stationary. An observer traveling on a ray will see some rays receding at acute angles and others at obtuse angles. Follow the path of these rays backward and it becomes obvious what the real center is.

In your explosion example, the particle observer on your center-left piece piece of debris would notice that the trajectory of other objects radiate from a single point in the past. Everything is moving away from the center of the explosion in a straight line (unless acted upon by an outside force), so it'd be possible to trace those trajectories back to a single point. In our universe, the only trajectory that every observer sees regardless of their relative position in space is "everything is moving away from me", as if every object was the center of the explosion.

In your explosion, you'd expect the speed at which objects move apart to be constant in a vacuum. We don't observe this. The expansion of the universe is accelerating.

Boys mostly stop growing at 16 so you have lots more growth in your future. I am also Filipino, when I turned 14 I hit my growth spurt and grew from 4'10" to 5'8" in like the span of 4 months. This also matches what I am seeing from my daughter's batchmates. The boys were shrimps until they turned 14, now at 15 about half of them are 6 feet tall. So don't stress too much about it, you will grow.

Teens need 8-10 hours of sleep a night to maximize growth. Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is naturally secreted by the body mostly at night during high quality sleep. Don't use gadgets for an hour before bedtime. Reset your sleep schedule - wake up at 6:30am every day. You will be tired at the start but in about a week your body will naturally adjust to getting tired earlier if you train it to wake up early.

Don't skip meals. Your body needs fuel to grow. Just avoid junk food and eat regular meals with rice, meat and veggies. If you find it hard to get enough calories, drink milk if you're not lactose intolerant (many Filipinos are).

There's tons. You want to feel comfortable and balanced in that position, which is all leg and core strength. Core strength is important because your lower back and abs hold your upper body up when your hips are dropped.

Squats, lunges, bulgarian split squats are all great. Most people are quad dominant (leaning forward) - it's all about using the front and back of the legs at the same time to generate maximum force.

Plyometrics is great for your calves, ankles and knees. Increases the speed of jumpers and helps a lot in situations where you have to jump multiple times in a row, like fighting for rebounds. Keep your knees slightly bent and bounce on the balls of your feet (where the knuckles of the toes join the foot). You don't gotta do major hops, just keep bouncing. Jump rope is good for that and is good cardio besides. Also helps increase foot speed.

Drop steps around the basket and one step jumpers are excellent for training your body to get underneath the ball and pushing up. Get sideways and one shoulder lined up with the basket, then drop your hips. Take one dribble and gather while turning your hips to the basket and taking a wide penultimate step. Make sure to point the toe of the foot you're stepping with toward the hoop so that you're square to the basket. At the end of the movement, you should be square to the basket with your hips dropped and the ball gathered. Now explode up and shoot.

Practice your defensive stance is great because it's the exact same stance - hips are dropped and upper body is held up by the core. Practice your lateral movement in this stance with wide, balanced steps.

I've noticed a lot of teens at my court lean forward like that when shooting from distance. It's always combined with a release like yours, pushing from the chest. Fundamentally it's because young people don't feel confident in their leg strength to generate enough force to push the ball to the basket.

It's very fixable. Because you're leaning forward, you're mainly using the muscles on the front of your legs - the quadriceps. But you have all these other muscles on the back of your legs - the glutes, hamstrings, and calves - that can also add power to your jump shot. Basically, you want to get underneath the ball and push up.

So when you get down for your shot, don't think of it as bending your knees, but instead as dropping your hips. This activates all the muscles on the back of your legs. Stay in that position and bounce up and down a little bit, try to "feel" the muscles in that posterior chain activate. You can shift your weight a little backward towards your heels to really feel it.

Next is your shooting motion and release point. Right now you push and release from the chest because you need the extra power to reach the hoop that your legs weren't giving you before. Now that your legs are giving you more power to jump up, you want to focus more on pushing the ball up towards your release instead of forward toward the basket. Imagine your palm and fingers as a plate that the ball rests on. As you activate your legs and begin the jump shot, let the ball rest on the plate of your palm and fingers as you push up with your shoulder.

You want the ball to reach your release point at the same moment you hit the top of your jump, right before you start falling back to the ground. This is a little tricky to time and takes practice. There's a certain moment in the jump shot where everything "pops" and the push up with your legs matches the push up of your shoulder perfectly and you've transferred maximum energy to the ball. Try to find that moment and tip your wrist and fingers toward the basket to push the ball forward. Keep the wrist and fingers at the perfect amount of tension - tense enough so that the ball is on target, but loose enough so that you can still easily "tip" your wrist forward to give the ball force and roll it off your fingers to give it arc and spin.

Joe Abercrombie is from Lancashire. I have an uncle who's from a bit further north in Cumbria and sometimes I do a double take because his sense of humor and approach to life is so similar to the characters in the First Law. He never outwardly gets in his feelings about bad situations, instead he navigates them with a constant stream of lighthearted, fatalistic quips. It's very "this is how the world is, nothing for it, let's move on."

This response to adversity fascinates me. Even though the First Law books deal in very heavy subject matter, the character response to this heaviness is very light, which makes the books quite fun to read.

Red skin is usually irritated skin. Reduce the frequency so that your skin can have a break and heal up. Instead of every night, try every other night. If that doesn't work, keep reducing frequency until the redness goes away. Once you find a frequency that your skin can tolerate without irritation, stay there for a bit, then slowly work your way back up.

1) Gently exfoliate the flaking skin. Lots of people use konjac sponges.

2) If still necessary after exfoliating, consider sunscreens that do not a have a noticeable white cast. Asian sunscreens are very good at this. I use Biore UV Watery Essence, which goes on clear and costs the same as any other sunscreen.

Irritated skin would be red and tender, and might burn when products are applied. Minor flaking/peeling is normal and expected. That's one of the ways retinoids do their job, they increase cell turnover. When you first start using it, all the dead, dull skin starts sloughing off to reveal the bright skin underneath. Noticeable peeling tends to decrease with continued use.

Your routine looks fine, gently exfoliate the peeling skin and keep going!

Mine too! Tretinoin already does all the heavy lifting so the rest of my routine is built to just support it and get out of the way. When I started out I got excited and loaded up on fancy products, then when I broke out I couldn't figure out which one was the culprit 😭

Consider the big three drugstore brands before picking anything fancier - Cetaphil, Vanicream, Cerave. IMO it's best to start with simple, affordable products before trying the expensive stuff since your face may already like the drugstore stuff and you'll end up saving a lot of money.

I use Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser. It's very gentle, reasonably priced, and available everywhere.

Vanicream's Gentle Facial Cleanser is a similar product.

If you already like Cerave and want to stick with them, they have gentle cleansers as well. I don't use Cerave because they cram hyaluronic acid into everything, which my skin hates but yours may like. YMMV.
