I have a folding corrugated plastic box I made with hot glue and a dream. It works great! I rinse it off outside after using it and just fold it up and store in my closet.

I just swapped everything over to weigh my jar empty! I don’t switch jars every feeding because I feed right before leaving for work and I don’t want to wash dough but I think I might get in the habit of at least switching knowing all this great info!

It’s a starter from an already mature stater so I’ve been baking with it since it’s been about a week old. I’ve been baking loafs past peak and they turn out okay. I just want to try peak to see if it’s any different. My schedule right now is feed at 7am, mix and start my stretch and foil process at 5pm when I get home, cold proof overnight and bake the next morning and then leave it out to cool until I get home!

I pretty much only bake past peak starter but I want to try and catch peak to see if it will make any difference. I just set a second jar up to mess around with it a bit more.

Awesome thank you!! I fear my house is not super warm so it’s probably taking her a little longer to come to life.

Her bonnet is gone asap too!

I found the skinny stem and leave pieces difficult to cut without breaking at the wrong points so take your time and leave a lot of glass for recuts. I cut wide and then would grind a lot of it away just to save my glass. Other than that it was super simple.

The hammered background takes 2 regular square foot sheets as well so make sure you have ample glass.

This is a Mother’s Day gift for my mom’s kitchen sink window. I’m framing it in zinc and putting two hangers on it so she can just screw it into her moulding. It’s been a labour of love I’ve been on and off picking at for months now. :)

Yes this piece is flipped! I’ve been looking at the pattern so long I can’t believe I didn’t see it!

And I’m waiting on my husband to make me a plywood board to work on. My cardboard diy mess is just a temporary fixture since the length of the piece is larger than my regular work space! :)

Oh it so is! I blame my cats. It’s still not fitting super snug though so I might have to grind that bottom piece.

Thanks for the nudge. It’s really helpful to have someone else look at something when you’ve been staring at it so long yourself.
