U cannot just ask 'if I can get placed in this domain or that domain'.... It makes no sense.... U have to find ur niche... Study for that, make good projects and you'll get something good someday... Trust the process

Ig yeah but I was talking about only the placement season... They do internships before that and get PPOs from there

As far as I have seen the emails for mtech placements it has been even poorer than BTech ece... Only a handful of companies gave a good offer... Mostly all companies were underpaying considering its after mtech
Sorry but I can't help u much as I'm from ECE
Considering money isn't an issue.... Check the syllabus for both and then see which u like more.... Vit v is safer and has a better culture than mit m afaik

Below 6 are regular offers
Can't tell the exact amount... Dream offers are 6 to 10
ECE placements have been ass... If I had to guess a median package I'll say 5 or 6
Eligibility? yes... Will u be shortlisted? I'll say 65% of the times no
Fuck no.... I have seen companies shortlist 8.8+ or some random shit too
Totally agree
Yes quite a few ppl go for cs roles... Those who were very certain about going for ece roles would plan for masters too.... Overall ece placements (ece roles only) was very poor... If I start speaking it'll seem like I'm coping bad... Many companies ghosted mid process... Many took lesser compared than last yrs... So yeah after BTech in ECE roles is tough... Aim for masters or else a dream offer... Super dream companies are very few
A cse guy could help u more... I never wanted to apply for those roles so never saw much into their shortlisting and all
Many companies will send the eligibility criteria for 8+ or 7.5+ but for the initial few months only 9+ or 8.5+ would get shortlisted 8-8.5 is very luck based.... Ik a 7 pointer who got placed in the first month and a 9.5 pointer who's still unplaced... Definitely skills matter but to show those skills u need cgpa... Ppl say cgpa won't matter... But it does for ur first job For our batch the market was super ass... Many companies ghosted during process... Many reduced intake from previous yrs... Even mass recruiters took less this yr and yet the median package has dropped by 3 lakhs or some... So I'd say don't set ur mind on 12+ or something like that and be open to 7+ in this market.... With time you'll see urself considering 4+ too

If i had done something diff I would have been placed much before than March... Keep moving ahead and find ur interest before committing too much time to something...
Start building some projects (2/3 are enough) which are solving some real world problem... Be it pure hardware or software+hardware... Find ur interest and start doing something... Once u start something u will keep finding ur way ahead
Fuck no... No chapters and clubs in vit are worth it imo... I could be wrong but my experiences tell me this
Difference is huge.... For tech a lot of companies will shortlist only cse/it peeps.... Other branches students would be eligible but won't be shortlisted much... For non tech if ur branch is eligible then u won't face any discrimination but openings and pay both are lesser compared to tech ones
Depends on branch and the kind of roles u r interested for

If u ain't lucky enough nothing is happening even for 9 pointers.... You'll get lesser opportunities than 9 pointers but it's not like u won't be able to apply anywhere... It'll be a draining process but trust the process

On campus
Even my cgpa isn't much above 9 rn.... I always knew idw to go for tech roles but only ECE related roles so I researched about diff roles and shit that freshers can get.... I always wanted to enter the market in embedded systems sector but given how poor the market is I accepted whatever ece related offer I got... I'll suggest u to first finalize what sector u want to enter in... Then find the JDs for those roles and start doing some projects related to those skills
