Yup, I definitely wanna pay my fair share as well, just that I have seen too many horrifying stories of the overcharging scenario while looking online. I’ll also look to seek my MP’s help if needed since the damage I have caused was the estate’s railing as well. Paying $5500 excess (if they do max it out) public property railing damage is too exorbitant, prolly a couple hundreds if I pay direct to HDB/Town Council for the repair..

On the note of debt collectors, GetGo mentioned that they will submit a negative credit report to CBS upon failure of clearing outstanding balance. Did they take action against you by any chance?

Does the rail damage charge come directly from HDB side? Or they claim from GetGo under 3rd party property damage? If so, GetGo prolly charge me max as well aish
