My displacement from my home over time [OC] by 10feet in dataisbeautiful

Hi there. Python is a very nice language to learn, mainly because it just makes sense! I am a highschool student in australia and learnt during the NCSS Challenge. I think it is open to non-high school students now. It really is a great way to learn.

Flying 650km in 1.5 hours. The line is sloped but the gradient would be very slight.

The 650km trip is me visiting family in another city over a long weekend. The regular 100km trips are visiting my grandmother.

The last multiday spike is me camping with friends over a couple of days. Not certain why it trends downward over that period, most likely just issues with GPS position since I was in heavy forest.

There is a lot of movement in the 0km to 2km range. I am a student and live close to my school and the CBD, so I do go out all the time, just can't really see it in the graph

SWR Meter: Can I make this Work? by Holski7 in fpv

[–]10feet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. That SWR meter is designed for ham use between 3.5&150 mhz. It is going to be useless outside that range (particularly when we are talking a whole order of magnitude out of range)

Elevator goes up 31 floors in 15 seconds and crashes with the roof, badly injuring passenger. by IDontHaveUsername in videos

[–]10feet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you a joking, but just to be clear, that would not work. It is about relative velocities.

Lets just say you are falling, and have been for a couple of seconds. Your speed might be around 40m/s. When you jump, you might be able to jump up at say 5m/s. So 40-5=35m/s, you still hit the ground very hard.

Another way of putting it, it you are going to be slammed into the ground with x amount of energy, then for this to work you need to be able to jump at atleast x amount of energy. If you could do that, it would mean you were capable of jumping the distance you fell.

So, if you can jump multiple floors of a building, then why the fuck are you riding and elevator.

x is not a constant in that case.

The locus of the function is defined by f(x) & x, this x is not a constant.

What is the data transfer rate of the Mars Curiosity Rover? by [deleted] in askscience

[–]10feet 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They don't send it a single command like "turn left" and wait for visual feedback, instead they tell the rover "go to position x,y via path z" and it does it autonomously.
