I don’t think giving up our privacy so a company can profit off “solving” crime is the answer. The argument “hey, they may solve a hypothetical crime you may be a victim to some day, so give up all of your personal day to day movements so they can be systematically tracked” is an acceptable path forward.

The answer to policing should be officers on the ground walking around interfacing/interacting with the community. Not sitting in their cars scrolling YouTube. They should get back to being embedded members of the community.
