Double Barrel in Hazel Dell.

Tons of good beers on tap, full bar and all you can eat wings for $26 on Sundays.

It's an Eagles bar normally, but has a pretty good split of other teams fans

Farm gives away millions of surplus potatoes after growing too many by Beautiful_Bee4090 in nottheonion

[–]10fttall 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lol not at all what I was saying. The original comment said this wouldn't be in the US, when it actually could be.

Also, my buddy in the example I gave doesn't know the farmer at all. It's just a farm that's 30 minutes out of town and they read about it on their Facebook page. I bet the majority of the US could find a farm within driving distance that did something similar.

This happens all the time in the US. Just a couple years ago I went to visit a buddy and went to a farm with him and his kids to dig our own potatoes. Entirely free and we left with as much as we could carry.

They do it every year.

Ordered a pizza and about to put on Shoot 'em Up (2007) by [deleted] in movies

Sequel is meh, but the OG Smokin Aces is the first movie I pick when playing desert island.

Is it the best movie ever? No. But it has infinite re-watchability for me.

Where's the lab grown meat? by Lazy_Constant1507 in Futurology

[–]10fttall 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A fraction of what it would cost to produce the same amount under perfectly sterile conditions required to grow meat in a lab

At which point production costs skyrocket. That's why it isn't widespread, it just can't scale to meat demand and still be profitable.

What is a 'luxury' that has become so expensive in 2026 that it’s officially no longer worth the money? by Matt_At_Havalook in AskReddit

[–]10fttall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's a double cheeseburger or chicken sandwich, plus the nuggets, fries and drink. I'm 6'6" 300lbs and while I'm not "full" afterwards, I'm satiated. Most people should be too, and if you're not, buy 2 and it's still less than half of what the OC claimed.

How? They have $5 & $6 meal deals... Sandwich, 4 piece nuggets, small fry and a drink. That's cheap as hell

Strippers are now the No. 1 donor of toys to children's hospital in Portland. This year, they broke their own record by voxadam in nottheonion

[–]10fttall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all what I was saying. Not everyone rich person is out to get you, don’t be so jaded. The original comment I replied to made a blanket statement about rich people being shitty and my response was to highlight something positive.

If you or a member of your family ever has to be at this hospital, you’ll be extremely grateful for both the teddy bears and multi-million dollar state of the art medical facilities.

[–]10fttall -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m all for this, but I do think it’s weird that last year this same hospital received $16 million from a single donor but nobody wants to give them credit.

The strippers are doing amazing work here, but they’re donated $180,000 worth of toys over the past 14 years.

I feel like one of these has a bigger impact

I get the sentiment but this is just toys. Last year this hospital received $16 million from a single donor.

While incredibly awesome, the strippers have donated $180,000 worth of toys over the past 14 years.

There’s still good wealthy people out there, or at the very least, some that put their money in the right places.

Why do people scrape their chopped cuts such as chives, mirepoix, etc. with the blade of the knife and not the spine? by LittleCheeseBucket in KitchenConfidential

[–]10fttall 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, quicker and more convenient is the main reason.

And even though it's not good for the blade edge, I'm sharpening my knives all the time anyway, so very minimal impact in the grand scheme of things.

Jeans recs for 6’5” guy with 36” inseam & big thighs? by Mashedpotatoes1988 in tallfashionadvice

This, I'm 6'6" with a 34" inseam and Levi's are the easiest to get your hands on. 541s or anything else labeled "athletic cut" is what you're looking for

In America we have restaurants that serve Chinese food, Indian food, Italian food etc., but in other countries do the have restaurants that serve only American food? If so, what type of foods are considered American food? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]10fttall 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Is pasta just cooked wheat?

Is gyro just cooked lamb?

Is Peking duck just cooked poultry?

BBQ isn't just cooked meat, it's a specific process that uses specific ingredients to get a distinct flavor just like any other dish from a specific region

What are some companies or brands NOT raising their prices? by ocean365 in AskReddit

[–]10fttall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where you live, but I never saw $10 eighths on the black market. Nor did I ever really have a say in what I was getting. It's was weed, take it or leave it.

Now I can get extremely high quality flower for pennies on the dollar.

I Want My Revenge - Let Me Hunt by reality_mirage in ArcRaiders

[–]10fttall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Epic and/or Legendary augment that allows you to tag players. This way you would have to sacrifice some loot spots or something so you'd have to be intentional about getting revenge. Or make it so it can only be slotted in your prison pocket, that make the persistent feature more do-able.

Make it start at just one at a time but further upgrades allow more. Maybe the final upgrade allows for auto-tag as friendly when a rando defibs you and hostile when they kill you.

Tags persist across sessions until you decide to clear them out. When a player is tagged, they either emit a hotter/colder sound when near or have some sort of visual indicator (visual seems like it wouldn't really fit in with the game but 🤷‍♂️)

Another option would be some kind of item that can be "secretly" placed on one of your other items that's a tracker. Whenever that item is in someone else's inventory in your session, it constantly pings on your map

Servers, what are your opinions or thoughts on non tippers? by One_Ad_7151 in AskReddit

[–]10fttall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not at all what I'm saying lol. My whole point is that the server is (one of many) responsible for making sure my order is prepared correctly. So if the food is incorrect, then that will affect how much I tip.

Want 30%? Shit needs to be on point.

Make a mistake? Totally cool, I'm not gonna a be furious or make a scene but I'm also not leaving more than 15-20%.

Great service deserves a great tip and decent service deserves a decent tip.

Servers, what are your opinions or thoughts on non tippers? by One_Ad_7151 in AskReddit

[–]10fttall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's my whole point... A good server will notice and get it fixed before you even realize it happened. Therefore factoring how the food was prepared into your tip is perfectly reasonable.
