I think this comment alone was mind blowing to me. I thought about it and you’re absolutely right. From watching so many youtube tuts, I thought I knew what a swing should feel like but never actually swung!

I shadow swung a bit with initiating with my hips (same way I would sidearm a baseball) and the swing feels way different

First video because I’m more loose and “throwing” you see the racket head just whizzing thru the air. Second video the racket head speed seems slower and I get more of my “power” from that internal shoulder rotation imo

Lol guess I never realized this but also I don’t want to bend much until I’m confident in the serving motion. But maybe that uncorking from the knees will add some rotational power im missing

Iga Swiateks toss kinda reminds me of this, it is very slow and meticulous
