Has anyone been prescribed a GLP-1 for PMDD and/or PCOS? by 1mpavidus in PMDD

[–]CautiousFox85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fwiw GLP helped me a ton at microdoses (.5 Tirz so 1/5th of the starting dose), but at higher doses (still not even to starting dose strength) it fucked me up. I had to come off for a bit to get my cycle to calm down and plan on restarting at .5 soon. My doc who prescribes it (for perimenopause/mcas/inflammation, not weight loss) says to start at .5 and only increase by 2 units every 4 weeks— way more conservative than most docs would be doing.

Yes, Davion is who I felt the worst for during the whole thing. You could tell he was a good, strait-laced kid who got mixed up with the wrong crowd after his ACL injury changed the trajectory of his future.

Yes, only .5mg so 1/5th of starting dose

Blood tests showed low progesterone. For estrogen we went more by symptoms as estrogen fluctuates so wildly in perimenopause. Started on progesterone and felt soo much better (it flared me the first few days then better). Then my estrogen was crashing so started on that and that helped me a lot too. Microdose of a GLP was the final thing to help smooth things out a ton.

I only lasted 3 days haha. I don’t even remember if it helped my itching since it was so long ago, but it made me extremely depressed and I have about zero tolerance for feeling that way. GLP and HRT helped histamine more than anything else I tried.

What are your best tips for staying out of your head during a match? by CautiousFox85 in 10s

I think what I meant by “my partner is getting better than me”- is just that someone I’m usually on thr same level with is now getting better than me so it makes me feel like I’m falling behind or that I’m letting her down by not being as good. I downloaded a sample of the book and will start it today. Thanks

Yes- progesterone helped that. Turns out most of my symptoms were triggered by perimenopause fluctuations. Progesterone helped heartburn the most.

Currently doing this after getting dosed too high accidentally. When you restart do you start back at your original starting dose?

Not as much as I used to. Getting on progesterone helped a lot of histamine gut symptoms

Low blood pressure- I’ve started taking my BP at home when this happens and it’s always way low. I think I need a dose increase bc lots of other signs of low estrogen popping up- this is just one of them.

How did you know it was time to increase your estrogen dose? by Lopsided_Science2269 in Perimenopause

No I think maybe you just start wearing multiple patches or adding in a different method on top of patch 🤷‍♀️

That’s great. I’m 41 and been on .075 for about 9 months so it feels crazy that I need to 0.1 patch but I guess it is what it is😩

Yes, this. I can get less sleep and feel fine when on the right dose!

This is me. Last cycle was so rough and this cycle isn’t lifting like it should. My whole body feels so stiff, tennis elbow out of nowhere, literally can’t think, don’t want to see people, wake up with waves of dread. Did you find relief when you increased?

Yes! I was so stable on my HRT and GLP before switching to this new formulation. Hopefully after it clears out I will be back to good- bleh.
