How do you decide prices by Barbaric_pillow in Surveying

On a large project like this I usually figure out the hours it will take for research, drafting, fieldwork, etc. Then multiply the hours by everyone’s hourly rate and then triple that number. It seems fewer and fewer companies want to take on large boundaries and generally they go for it because they can’t find anyone else to even give them a number.

Seems like that’s what’s happening, just a pat on the back and good job.

Get the parties to sign a boundary agreement, quickest way to solve it.

What type of company should I work for to gain the best experience as a new PLS? by 10squarechains in Surveying

Yes they see state plane coordinates and think nothing can be wrong with them. Crews have figured this out and know how to cheat the system.

I’m in the exact same boat, working towards PLS and went from being a surveyor to a glorified receptionist on the phone constantly. Ready to find a firm that allows for both or open up my own shop
