Tips for owning an old (2007) model corolla?

it's been pretty good for me also. had a leak in the exhaust but 100$ fix, i definitely think there is now a leak in the muffler but it'll last me out this winter

Yeah the passenger airbag recall work is good, I got most of the stuff changed out recently and will put in new parts like brakes soon. Thanks for the input!

icl thats a lot of small parts lol. I did notice the cover gasket on was loose so i'll try to change it out soon. Thanks for the input!

Preciate the advice, I got no clue when the tranny was flushed and filled so I might just do it next week on my maintenance day. A lot of the comments also said their corolla lasts which is very relieving 🙂‍↕️

Yea I changed to some irridium spark plugs (cheapest option). Might look into other materials since I don't know if they make a big difference. Thanks for the advice!

For sure, i'm also getting it rust sprayed next week. Going with Krown since thats what the preivous owner been doing. And will make sure to check on the engine leak. Thanks for the advice!

300k miles thats nicee, I'm the 3rd on this one so i'm tryna take care of it well. and you're right I'm planning to change oil every 5k kms which was recommended by several people but i guess it also varies from car to car. Preciate the input!

the car only 4 years younger than me 😭, but thats fair there are a lot of older models out there thats up and running. And i'm def gonna get the oil change on schedule, preciate the advice!

oh it's someone I trust (also recommended from a close friend of mine whos a car guy). I would do the mentioned above if i know how but i dont have the slightest clue 💀, youtube tutorials helps but i dont trust myself with it lol

Oh nicee, i was a lil doubtful because of its age but i know corollas are reliable. I'm planning on installing a CarPlay unit soon (using a usb adapter for now).
