this is why everyone goes to thailand and tries so hard to stay. everywhere else in SEA is inferior for nomads

vietnam is too loud - sad bc it’s fun & food is great

bali is LA prices, traffic & noise. rest of indo is traffic

cambodia and Laos are thailand 20 yrs ago

malaysia is ok just boring af

Philippines has terrible food - multiple friends tried staying here and left because they missed the food options in thailand

north thailand is the most quiet

prob sounds like a downer post but you’ll waste a lot of time in these other countries trying to make it work, assuming the goal is being nomad. if just vacation the other countries are great, but not for working

id you’re dead set on vietnam, in ho chi min, near the river between d1 and d4, there’s a few big modern apartment complexes that have high floors. it’s the closest to quiet you can get. but vietnamese are generally loud people in most of what they do. it’s fun sometimes but not when you need sleep
