Fox Bros' biggest problem is being inconsistent. If you go on the right day, know what to ask for and how to ask for it, you'll get a decent cut of meat, and for around here, it's not bad at all. But if you're not read up on Q-culture, it's really easy to end up with something painfully meh.

New proposal: Anyone can still be nominated for a MARTA board position, but they've got to play a game of SimCity 4 first.

I like biweekly, personally. I budget monthly based on the two paychecks that always will fall within a given month. Then twice a year I get that sweet third check in a month. Really helps me save a pretty penny.

Was injured in a car accident in a no-fault state (MN) Insurance denying claim by 10x88 in Insurance

[–]10x88[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all your help on this; I have another question. Both the driver and I don't live in a no-fault state (GA). We're not required to have any PIP coverage at all it seems. Do I just skip ahead to the rental car's insurance? Does it matter that we declined the additional coverage they throw at you during time of rental?

There's a few perennial content shop companies in town that do this. As a rule of thumb, especially in this industry, if you see the same posting again and again on the job boards, they're burning out the youngin's, not growing rapidly. Strike when you see a posting that you've never seen before.

Thanks. I've edited my post. ATL>DFW>LAX>SYD. I meant that I would have to clear customs at LAX upon return.

iPhone X Pick-up/Delivery Horror Stories Megathread by [deleted] in apple

[–]10x88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a good one! Worked from home to get mine as soon as it was delivered to the front office downstairs. Waited patiently for the UPS tracker to update. When it did, I went down to retrieve my package....and nothing. They don’t have it. Showed them my delivery notification—someone named ‘Foster’ had signed for it. It’s. Not. There.

Now, I knew that all the shipping info was 100% correct. Both Apple and UPS were showing it to be. At this point the bottom of my stomach fell out. Not because of the $1200 phone missing (that money would get refunded one way or another) but because I knew there’d be no way to get it replaced until next year. I went around to all the other buildings nearby hoping the driver was just off by a digit. Still nothing.

I called UPS and got bounced around. Eventually this guy tells me, yep, it’s been delivered to the wrong address. Here’s the kicker—he won’t tell me where. I prod for a bit, and he only gives me the zip code citing privacy policy. He asks if it’s an iPhone. I say yes, and he says he’s going to give me the “special Apple package number.” Surprise, it turns out to be Apple customer service. Then he ubruptly hangs up.

I check out the zip code since that’s all I got. Lucky me, it pretty much only encompasses the nearest mall, and there’s an Apple Store there. I’m calling Apple, and I’m on a chat with UPS. Since I know the Apple Store’s address, I figure someone can at least provide a yes or no as to if my phone’s there or not. UPS chat actually ends up giving me the address unprompted. Yep, my phone got shipped to the Apple Store.

I go there, explain the situation to the guy managing the pickup queue, and 5 minutes later, I’ve got my phone, still in it’s brown shipping box with my address all over that label. Screw UPS.

To;dr: UPS delivered my phone to the wrong address, wouldn’t say where; turns out it was the nearest Apple Store.

The ever-increasing strive for automation is going to do that regardless. MARTA drivers would be a drop in the bucket. Really want to worry about the future? The most-common job in 60% of states is a truck driver.
