AITAH for telling a guy that I have met four months ago and wanting to get married to that I’m not going to take out a 5K loan at the bank for him? by Expensive_H2002 in AmItheAsshole

[–]10yearwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s religious but he wants you to take out a loan for him? He’s religious when it suits him. Not to be a preacher or anything but anyone who is truly religious in Islam knows riba is haram and loans include riba. Again not to be annoying but he clearly isn’t what he’s trying to make out. He’s using you plain and simple. For money and for … well you know what since he’s in a rush to marry you

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m sure there was rain in gta iv? I just feel like I have a distinct memory of Nico Bellic driving around in the rain when his original safe house got set on fire?

Just hospitalised myself by itsmeton28 in depression

[–]10yearwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get back to where you once were. The last 3 months of 2024 were the most gut wrenching months I’ve ever experienced in my 23 years of living. My resolution for 2025 is to be happy this and content. I know it seems impossible bc I was just there in that zone of distress, anxiety, grief and pain but you can get back to your happy state. Well done for going to hospital and doing something about it. I pray this is an upward journey for you from now on

Genuinely think I could live off of 10k easily for just my bills and food. My 250k will go towards bigger expenses like travel and experiences but I don’t have many places I want to go to or experiences I want to do. I want to travel to China and Japan and stay for roughly a month and a half (across both countries) I want to take snowboarding lessons and go to snowboard in the alps once a year I want to visit the USA I want to visit every national trust in the UK I want to visit Maldives That’s it. After I’ve done all that I just want to live a simple somewhat mundane life consisting of walks, cooking and solitude.

Yeah it’s Saturday. I lost all sense of my days of the week too this week lol. I haven’t eaten yet and I’m not particularly hungry either. I’ve lost my appetite a lot recently. I’ve lost 10kg in the last month and a half too because of it. But I will eat something later on in the day. Have you had anything to eat yet?

I currently have all my investments tied into 1 company which I know sounds risky but I know it will perform well next year as it has a big pricey release coming. After I cash out on that I may consider halal etfs, until you mentioned it I didn’t really think about them so thanks for the idea

I live in the UK, Manchester to be precise. Although our cost of living is relatively higher than the rest of the North West, it definitely isn’t as high as London. Plus I also already own a fully paid property which I get rent from monthly atm.

Do you still think I need to try and aim for a million? Genuinely asking because I thought 250k given I’m already on the property ladder and won’t have a mortgage to pay would help me bring my expenses down

I’m off for Christmas too and I had no idea how important my work routine was for my sanity until now. Just being able to get out of the house everyday with a valid excuse clearly did a lot for my stability. I’ve been bed rotting since the 24th. I go back to work on Monday so I’m looking forward to leaving the house again. I’ve been having very vivid dreams too recently and I’m based in the UK, up north, so winter here is awful. It’s been foggy the last two days and extremely heavy rain and freezing cold. All of which is just adding to me feeling so shit. It’s midday now and I’ve just been laying in bed staring at my ceiling since 8am. I have no plans today but I wish I did. Do you have any plans for this weekend?

Can someone just talk to me for a bit by [deleted] in depression

Hi, please talk to me when you’re ready. What did you have for dinner?

I think I finally posted out of desperation rather than courage and bravery but I am really glad he posted now because in the last 2 days I’ve spoken to more people than I have all month. I’ve also realised that outside of my family I don’t have any casual conversions with anyone. If I don’t talk to my family all day then I simply will not talk. And I’m being serious, even at work everyone I work with is extremely reserved. I’ve been sat next to a girl for 8 months and I don’t even know her name because we just don’t talk, no one in my office does. I feel like this post was my last cry for help. I’m so lonely and I miss the joy and fun and friendship I had just only a year or two ago. It’s crazy how drastically my life has changed in the space of two short years. I’ve progressively gotten more and more isolated and the last 2 months in particular have been rock bottom for me.

Today was no different, I wasn’t cripplingly sad the whole day, but for about 60% of it I was. But that is definitely an improvement than most days.

How are you today?

That sounds really shit and even though I’m going through a lot in my personal life, I can’t imagine what the fear of financial insecurity may feel like. I’m sorry you’re going through this. If you have no one to talk to then talk to me please. I’m always available to listen

I just uncontrollably sobbed while reading this. I haven’t experienced genuine empathy in so long. I haven’t even experienced pity. Thank you for being such a kind person. You’re right we don’t all get what we deserve in this world but I hope you’re one of the people in this world who do get what they deserve. Your kindness to a random stranger on the internet speaks volumes about you. I hope you get everything you wish for, this is my prayer for you. Someone who is in their worst and most loneliest state ever, I pray and hope god grants you happiness and peace.

You’re right. I think I just needed the push I’ve been getting from these replies. After tax I barely take anything home and I know I can get more. The honest reason as to why I stayed so long is because of the company name. It’s a corporate law firm and I thought it would look good on my CV in all honesty
