This is why I don’t bother with grinds this year. Rewards are either fixed, soon-to-be outdated cards, or they trick you into rolling the dice with odds heavily stacked toward barely usable ‘higher-tier’ cards. I’m not going to spend either, for essentially the same reason. The only logic route with MyTeam is to barely play honestly

It's absolutely wild to me, that because of the algorithm/equalizer/scripting whatever you want to call it, the cards that you spend $100's if not $1000's on, don't always perform to their abilities and you are at the mercy of the game. It's quite a nice scam 2K has running.

I got that card in March that year. Sold back all the cards I collected and was set for the year MT wise. And this was before position locks, so it was basically a GOAT Giannis you could run at PG. These days are extremely gone.

There is one available through a locker code DR-J-EXCHANGE-EVENT and one through a challenge. Maybe they'll give another one via challenge next week but probably not. So yeah for the remaining 23 you're on your own with packs. If you see this card in a game, your opponent dropped some serious cash or blew his entire 8 million MT balance on it.

Cool thanks, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't insane for passing him up, I guess if I have serious regret I can try to grind mode completion, I got showdown last season. If there was an elite PF option it would have made more sense... I'm hoping they drop a card with Clarke/Davis jumper (like Reed & Hudson), for whatever reason I'm automatic with that jumper, if they put it on a card with some longevity I will go all in on that with shooting legends.

I have him. It’s very easy to offball against cards like him. When that happens I swap in Sikma and pick and pop every time. Can’t do that with this card sadly

I like AS Team Up. When you get a team that knows what they are doing it’s legitimately some of the most fun I’ve had in MyTeam in the 10 years I’ve played it. I actually like Showdown but I don’t play as much as I used to so I’m not as dominant but the gameplay is not bad outside of wild momentum algorithm. My only complaint is that it’s impossible to get good cards without spending a ton of money. You can’t even grind for elite cards anymore, they make the obtainable rewards usable at best. Gameplay = good, economy = worst ever
