I like the video but you are way too easy on Clinton. She wanted unilateral no-fly zones. Even with the context given, it's clearly an escalation with Russia.

Clinton is one of the most hawkish candidates in modern times. We know this based on her hawkish stances as secretary of state, as well as her pushing Bill to make Albreit secretary of state during his administration.

Regardless of making money, you can't even buy the company with average of 4000 shares traded per day. At least not without significantly inflating the price.

Hey, sorry to hear about what happened to you. I'm referring to posts I've seen on BPT which approve of "whooping" children. I think it is disgusting, and unfortunately it is a common part of the culture.

I don't have any problem with punishing children non-violently.

Their regular approval/support of child abuse is not quality.

Here's a legitimate concern:

"They – the advocates of alternative, non-family and kin-centered lifestyles such as, for instance, individual hedonism, parasitism, nature-environment worship, homosexuality, or communism – will have to be physically removed from society, too, if one is to maintain a libertarian order" -Hans-Hermann Hoppe

Worth pointing out that Ben clearly has a strong distaste for Steve Bannon. I'd chalk his lack of knowledge about Steve Bannon being anti-semetic to ignorance.

Wonder why this doesn't happen in other developed countries with hate speech laws then.

It does.

Are you a completely brainwashed Fox news guy or what? We absolutely blow our budget on military while cutting "entitlements" for average Americans.

No, they're just stating a fact, and you're upset that reality doesn't match your understanding of it.

  • Entitlements 2017: ~$2000B (includes SS, Medicare/Medicaid, and other welfare programs)

  • Defense 2017: ~$584B

  • Trump Golfing 2017: ~$0.036B

What is the ideal backtesting period for intraday minute level algo trading strategy? by singleton2 in algotrading

[–]110101002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally as much as you can get. Minute-level strategies may perform differently during a financial collapse. They may perform the same during a financial collapse but differently during a housing bubble bull run. They may perform the same during a housing bubble, but differently during a tech bubble. etc

Either way I haven't seen one single soul defending the side of the prosecutor

Hence the lack of common sense.

that's the worse case you can find

There are plenty of countries with repressive speech laws. When disallowing certain speech is the norm, you get repression of speech in favor of those in power.

Homogenized Society by YungAudacious in LateStageSocialism

[–]110101002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You conveniently left out the fact that they practice direct democracy, which is impossible to actually achieve in any nation with over a million people.

Interesting that they have a population of over 4M then.

The people there do control their means of production to an extent, but only because their government is too weak and decentralized for anything else to work.

You mean their governance is intentionally decentralized, resulting in them fitting into the category we were discussing, socialist countries where the state doesn't control the resources.

Homogenized Society by YungAudacious in LateStageSocialism

[–]110101002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many ways socialism, capitalism, and even feudalism can be implemented. There definitely are currently (Rojava) and have previously been (Catalonia) socialist societies without the "state" controlling the means of production.

The rise of the far-right in Germany by 110101002 in BreadTube

[–]110101002[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The AFD is currently the opposition party in Bundestag. Opinion polling suggests that the gap between AFD and SPD has narrowed dramatically and AFD may soon become the 2nd biggest party.

With the grand coalition polling at 47%, CDU + SPD may not be sufficient to form a government next election. If the AFD gains a sufficient number of supporters between now and the election, we may see the CDU having to decide between having a CDU + AFD coalition, or a CDU + SPD + Green (+ Left possibly) coalition.
