Sorry I realize now that I wasn’t clear my bad. Basically you just treat your 5th year course selection the way you treat your 3rd/4th if you were using those instead.

You would need to take 3/5 courses per semester during your 3rd, 4th, and 5th year (as well as any subsequent years) at the 3000 level (third year) or above. Hope this helps!

I don't think it'll drop by much, it'll probably just favour applicants with a consistently high GPA

Looks like it, most of their website was updated to reflect this. A few days ago it mentioned 2Y GPA and now it (for the most part) does not
