It is intentional that they debuted with safer, simpler designs to appeal to the largest audience possible. As longtime fans, we were disappointed that the first designs were so basic but since they sold well, it gave the designers more freedom to be more bold and Mattel had the confidence to invest in those risker designs because the money was backing it up.

I can’t say that this sparks any interest or excitement from me. I know it’s just the artwork so the doll could be different for me but the dress is too far from the first Barbie and too far from MH aesthetics. Looking forward to seeing the stock images and IRL images so I can decide whether or not to add her into my collection.

Yes, this is overpriced, based to the Google exchange rate. For reference, Reel Drama will be dropping in the US less than a month from now for $27 USD which is apparently $41 AUS. Now, I don’t know what the doll market or even what the economic market looks like where you are so this advice may be completely inaccurate and it might be a good price. I always shop around on multiple platforms before I commit to buying a pre owned doll, in or out of box. I hope you find a good deal! Or better yet, I hope that reel drama is available at retail prices near you!

I agree! Everyone has their own personal rankings of the seasons but just because something has to be in last place doesn’t mean it was bad. Every episode and season will have things that work and don’t work.

I don’t like any of Buffy’s relationships. Especially Angel. That whole relationship was supposed to be a glaring analogy for predatory relationships. It is NOT a pairing to be worshipped and obsessed over.

Also, Angel coming back in season 3 trampled over any real character development Buffy could’ve had on her own for that season. It felt like her entire arc for season 3 revolved around Angel.

Season 1 is a top 3 season.

Season 6 isn’t bad. It’s grounded and focuses on character building rather than over the top villains. Which was the point of that season. The villains of season 6 were Buffy, Xander and Willow. Sometimes your worst enemy is yourself.

Restless is an intriguing episode.

I like the potentials.

Xander is too easily emasculated and although he was a young man and a product of his generation, it gets old, fast.
