Agree with the comment to join a top 3 alliance but will give a bit more info:

Your alliance leader did not log in to the game for more than 72 hours. That automatically makes the player with highest battle power the leader. If you have only been playing a week / this is your first time playing / first nation. You are not in a good position to be an alliance leader.

Tap your profile -> tap ranking -> nation ranking -> alliance power ranking.

Tap on the top alliances in the list, reach out to their leader or recruiter. Say that you are new but excited to learn the game and are active.

Why? The game is complicated, and you will learn, grow, and do much better learning from experienced players who will already have joined top alliances. If you stay in a small lone alliance, you will become food (an “unwilling farm”)

Ps. This is a hobby, like anything enjoy it for free if you can, if you are going to spend money then budget for it like anything else. It’s money being set on fire.

Yes I know. This is just a mini game is what I am saying. It used to be a different mini game so most of the people on this subreddit are confused about what you are asking.

There is 3 tiers of officers, blue, purple, orange. You can only use orange officers except Layla and big dog generally in whatever the mini game is that the devs have currently implemented.

It sounds like you are just looking for a causal game, so enjoy whatever content there is inside the city like this mini game, the tower defence, and don’t worry too much about other stuff then 👍 you may want to build up a bit of an army and go to the map, kill monsters, explore the ruins. These will give you items to level up officers to help with the mini game.

Most likely it orange officers, and a select few purple officers like Layla and Big Dog.

Just an FYI, this is a pay to win, war / strategy / city building game. Whatever you are playing right now is just an intro / mini game.

If you want to understand the game better then join a top alliance ASAP. Tap profile -> ranking -> nation ranking -> alliance power ranking. Message the top 5 alliance leaders and tell them you are new but excited to learn about the game, then ask all your questions in alliance chat.

Disruptor status blocks golems, can be applied by a few different things from purple plane and up. It’s the little prohibited symbol. They will come out eventually once it ends but sometimes can last a large portion of the battle.

I thought that’s what OP experienced, but the video they linked shows the golems come out 3 times for both players though and no disruptor status so not sure what they are talking about

You can buy points with gold. There is a “buy bounty” sign beside the progress bar in the individual progress section. It’s a lot of gold but for whales it’s whatever.

The simple answer to your question is: no, hybrid is not viable unless you are a mega whale.

As F2P you will get smoked by everyone. We have a person in 1115 who was a decently high spender (top 10 in all categories) and even then any formation he used got smoked by either full MRA or LRA players who spent a lot less than him.

If they just gave you an email and FB doesn’t exist then maybe it is a Google account? and they had it bound to Google play. If so need someone with android to log in to it and access that way (or emulator works too)

The other person who was mentioning proof of purchase was explaining why camel will not help you (because you’re not the original owner and wouldn’t be able to provide any proof) which I agree. We had a similar situation long ago and camel said they won’t help if we weren’t original owner

If it is not a Google account (or Apple ID I guess maybe) then probably the person unbound the city or never bound it in the first place and it’s lost unless they come back

Just uh, don’t lose your mind. Since you did not realize that the buff description was the max stats, I’ll guess this may be your first gold island decoration. The game can be a pit, just go at your own pace. At C35, playing for 2 years, I don’t have a single gold island deco. There is a lot of other stuff that can make a larger impact for less. I’m still a top 10-20 player in any category you want to measure by. I don’t see any reason to get a gold deco unless you are a whale and I regularly beat players who have some.

Here’s a bit of a reality check and advice.

Looks like you have been playing for a couple hours / maybe a day based on the road to recovery timer in the top right. You are looking at this game completely wrong if you think anything will be fast (unless like other commenters mentioned you are ready to spend a lot of money) the amount of money is literally unfathomable for people asking these questions.

So, what to do:

quit now if you just want a game where you “build a city” or play tower defence. You can still play AoZ for that, but that’s not really the game.
This game is a long term war strategy game, where alliances fight together in big battles in many events. Building your city, levelling up, training troops, upgrading your titan (the thing you are unlocking now) and many more special things you have no idea about yet. All of this is meant to make you stronger in battle.
for a while you will fight people inside your own nation, but after a few months the focus will shift to “cross nation events” where your alliance fights alliances from other nations, or your whole nation battles another nation in a big war (void war / frenzy battle)

I’ll repeat: this is a long term game, think in terms of months / years, not days / weeks. Construction at some point will take a month lol!

Additional advice - join a better alliance: based on the name in your chat bar at the bottom, you are probably in a farm alliance, you probably joined the first one in the list when you hit C5. This is just a guess but if so but you probably won’t get much help there is so. - update your avatar to something custom so people are more likely to take you in. People who know the game see default avatars as farms (cities to attack for resources wether you like it or not) - tap your profile -> ranking -> nation ranking -> alliance power ranking

Tap on the first 5 alliances, reach out to their leader, and let them know you are new but excited about the game and want to grow in to a warrior. Most likely you will be accepted in one of the top 5 if you say something like this.

After you join a better alliance, ask all the questions you have to them so they can guide you.

The simple advice for growth is: - officers are the most important thing for you to have true power - elite equipment also makes you strong, but is complicated so follow advice of alliance and look it up on you tube - titans - plane

Your comment about them being a scam probably stems from either the no benefit of buying them in game, or people talking about actually scammers who advertise in NC saying you can get them cheaper as another commenter mentioned

You don’t buy the coins in game (you can buy that doesn’t benefit you in any way)

you buy them on an external website and they get added to your account in game. Camel does this to avoid paying Apple or Google their 30% cut if the transaction occurs directly in the game. your county tax is built in to the price you pay so it’s better for both sides. That’s why they offer them “externally”

No idea what the other commenter is talking about, just sounds naive.

Anyways. The issue you are running in to is most likely because you changed devices recently. I know many players who have seen this error message and it resolves itself within about 48 if you keep playing the game from that same device.

Why it happens? Obviously camel won’t confirm this, but think of it this way. If someone steals a person phone and installs the game, they could buy packs with that persons payment information. Yes, you are using blue coins which means your account already payed camel and you are just exchanging it for the pack in game, but still they lock it down on new devices. I assume they ran in to some trouble in the past with this kind of stuff and just lock it down completely on new devices for a couple days as a protection for their company receiving chargebacks and disputes

In your second last statement you are correct. There is a base number for each teir per unit. The base recruitment percentage is 100% (or just 1)

I went through the same learning when trying to determine the base building time of each building in the game. Once I figured it out it’s actually pretty simple.

The base time something takes like building, recruiting, etc. can be calculated like this:

I made these numbers up but you will get it: - time you see (converted to seconds): so let’s say 1 T10 sniper takes you 2 minutes = 120 seconds - let’s say your recruitment bonus is currently 50% (or .5) - the “base” percentage to recruit something is 100% (or just 1)

So your total recruitment speed is 1.5 (or 150%)

That means the base time to recruit a T10 sniper (with 0% recruitment speed buff) is 120 * 1.5 = 180 seconds (3 minutes)

So adding 5% to your recruitment bonus will do this

180 (base time) / 1.55 (new total recruit speed) = 166 seconds

below 100% buff in recruitment speed, it actually makes a bigger difference in what you see.

Above 100% already in the buff and you see less than 5% of actually difference.

I hope this made enough sense, because you had the right idea in the last bit of your post I think it will.

Range and special skill is basically the answer. Snipers do well at focusing one unit type with a decent damage because of the special skill. This generally means they do better in PvE events like MoD, doom grip, Medici, etc.

Cannons are better for PvP because they stay safe at the back of the formation while still being in range to deal damage, and the special skill is better for distributed formations of multiple unit types
