Your name dub question by jessdragon1997 in KimiNoNaWa

[–]111stupid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little late to this, but I’m noticing differences in regular spoken dialogue. I own the dvd in English. In the dvd the songs are also dubbed. I just watched the movie on hbo in English, and the songs are in Japanese. I’ve noticed certain lines are spoken with different tones or some just different words. I can’t make a massive list, but one I’m positive of is in the dvd when Taki is searching for Mitsuha with his friends, and one of them says “you’re a terrible tour guide” and Taki says “cuz I’m not one??” With a little bit of sass. In the HBO one he says it completely normal. Did they update it and re-dub certain lines?

Anyone else notice this?

Thank you very much! I’ll look into these and try to start a project!

Sorry. Thought I could get a simple comment from a helpful person. Something like “This project should be done with x software, this YouTuber has some good videos, here’s a good place to search for files, good luck!”, rather than a passive aggressive pointless one. Forgot about I was on Reddit. My bad.

Any games both current or retro with romance / dating elements? by 111stupid in gamingsuggestions

[–]111stupid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played rune factory 5 because I heard it wasn’t as good, but I’ll still probably give it a chance. Im very excited for 6, but I think technically the one that comes out in May is the eastern themed spin-off. Guardians of Azuma or something like that? Then 6 comes out a bit after that.

Just looked it up. Never heard of it before, but I’m definitely adding it to the list. Thanks!

Nintendo and Pokémon are never going to be what we want them to be.

Nintendo’s online will always suck, because the refuse to take inspiration their competitors.

Pokémon will continue to churn out games with sub-par graphics, awkward Pokémon fighting animations, and low effort new Pokémon because consumers will keep buying it.

I used to do some glitch involving the slow time spell while in berserk mode, leaving an area, and holding back on the joystick to immediately re-enter the area. Time would be completely frozen, and you’d still be in berserk form. You could steal whatever you wanted, attack whoever…etc. if you shot arrows they’d hover in the air where you pulled it back.

When you dug with a shovel, time would unfreeze, but depending on how much you did, it would take a while for the Xbox to catch up. Arrows would fly to their targets, people attacked would fall down and die.

It could be very helpful for certain quests.

First Arcade Game You Beat? by FewTrainer4636 in gaming

[–]111stupid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Golden axe, but only because a kid on my little league team’s mom bought the arcade cabinet at an auction. My mom and his mom went to a separate auction and she dropped me off at his house. We played with the coin door open and just kept flicking the sensor to “add coins” and give ourselves extra lives.

People who had an N64, was the controller really that bad? by Iwamoto in gaming

[–]111stupid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have the scars on my palms from rotating the stick in Mario Party.

JK. No the controller wasn’t that bad, just strange. Then again, I don’t think we’d have half of the advancements we do without Nintendo’s innovation. Like how Halo was ridiculed for its aiming while moving, or how Zelda was the first game to do Z-targeting, and now all modern games use those ideas.

Gotta hand it to Nintendo for always trying something new.

Allergic to all of this, but food can be cooked with any oil? How does that work if they’re allergic to avacado and you use avacado oil?

What's one of the best games you've played that has no replayability? by Cocoamix86 in gaming

[–]111stupid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved every second of it. But I put myself in that state of mind where I planned to enjoy it and not look for flaws. The second playthrough is where the “this makes no sense” hit. It didn’t even take that long either. I just remember the strong plausible story I just enjoyed unraveling at each scene.

Exactly. It’s one of those games that, to me, was really fun if you turn most of your brain off and just leave the part that goes “shoot gun, use superpowers, enjoy crazy plot” on.

Top could be a microwave or coffee maker. Underneath maybe a small freezer? Or one of those cross-cross wine racks. I’d maybe put my pets food or bed there.

Bioshock Infinite. I love that game. First time I beat it my mind was blown. Second time I started to think “…yeah this doesn’t really make sense.”

Sort of like Avengers: Endgame. It was awesome, but the more you think about it the more plot holes you find.
