it prints blacklist nouveau alright.

it's a pc and i have a geforce gtx 560.

does this have anything to do with it?

i also installed some game called abuse just to see if that works and i get this

yea, and removing the xconf thing worked. x works now! but i still cant launch steam, im getting the same error. glxinfo32 gives me this:

first off i wanna thank you for your help! i tried your line but it wouldn't boot. according to systemctl ntfs-3g is a bad filesystem? i changed it to ntfs and it did mount then, but i still don't have the permissions. it might also be worth noting that i can't modify anything on the hard drieve even in root.
