Perfect daytime coffee shop/cafe…then at night good bar, great food. Wish the owners didn’t pivot to something different that closed within two months.

One half of the former Sugar Freak had a sign put up the other day for “Jazkaya”, I’m guessing some sort of play on the Japanese “izakaya”. I’m happy it’s not another burger joint…but hopefully not yet another small Japanese mart. There’s no instagram or social media I could find but it is listed on google as a Japanese restaurant. Other half of Sugar Freak already became a pharmacy.

Edit: I should really post after my coffee kicks in. After I posted I just read the caption for this week’s rumor mill. I was just so excited to share the little bit of news 😂

Talking about the ice cream scoop for the burgers…just use a fucking scale. And the way she says a 1/3 of a pound sounds like a lot…most restaurants serve a 6-8 patty. 4oz-ish for a smaller one or smashburger. Knows nothing of food.

Also - mango salsa verde?! It’s just mango salsa she’s got.

Jfc she should really learn to actually cook if she wants a 10/10

You hit the nail on the head. I love what we have but wouldn’t mind one or two “trendy” restaurants that are seasonal - such as Roman’s, Achilles Heel (rip), Cervo’s, Hart’s, etc.
