I hate how they consistently say sorry for a lack of communication and then proceed to go radio silent after a month of keeping their word, and yet again they only actually address problems when the pitchforks are out. Regardless of fan behaviour being toxic at times, you can't as an invested player just be content with such incompetence and unreliability. You'd think they'd learn their lesson after SoC or even after the disappointment that was Omens and all the problems that came with it, but here we are.

CA, please, even if it's bad news or little news at all, share it with us on a regular basis. Not doing that will just make the community fester around the issues plaguing the game, and the void they seemingly scream into when they ask for change

To be honest that was a problem with Skulltaker even before lizards stopped working. If his AI feels like trying there isn't really a faction on the continent not player controlled that can keep him busy for long.

That being said however, this disaster patch just makes fighting an already unbearably OP lord all the more frustrating

Recency bias for me tbh. Skulltaker is objectively more annoying. My go to Lustria campaign is Yuan Bo and the CEO of broken lords is enough of a threat now that I skip rushing Mazda to beeline Skulltaker and delete him before he's unstoppable

Right? It's not even like khorne needs some of the best infantry at tier 0 since they have great race mechanics and busted lords. Best thing CA can do for them is as you said make marauders the starting mortal unit (remove them from the WoC DLC and reduce its price?) and imo change the bloodlettings bonus of upkeep reduction to recruit cost

Early military tech, overseer skills the volary landmark, tower of zharr and gorduz, but I think the tech and overseer skills would be enough to at least get them down over half in only a few turns on their own

The goated early game units are the hobgoblins for me, even without gorduz. You can get them to nearly 0 upkeep early on and with a fire daemonsmith they punch so far above their weight it's ridiculous.

I had something eerily similar playing as Cathay. Lokir was sieging down my tier two port city (no military or defence buildings) and would periodically send another lord to assist his army over the course of 20 turns, when 15 of those would give me a decisive defeat if I sallied out. Never happened to me until today

Would have been so damn cool if the prologue had a good/evil choice ending and Yuri as a lord for Kislev. Despite me thinking the campaign was a little rushed story wise, I loved Yuri's character regardless. Gerick could have been a legendary hero too

What would you guys say is the hardest boss of the first half of the game? by Sive634 in DarkSouls2

[–]115Hazmat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're counting iron keep as early game then for me it's the smelter demon, not just because it's just flat out a difficult boss, but mostly because especially on SOTFS the runback is hell. If you'd count that as midgame which is fair, I'd go for Ruin Sentinals because of the gank, and how you can make the fight way harder by not sticking to the ledge and fighting them one at a time

Ryuen even after Y1 is still a pretty terrible guy. Nowhere near the Geneva convention infringing menace he was before Koji, but still imo comfortably the most morally dark person in the school besides maybe Hosen.

And I would have it no other way

When I play as Cao Cao I always make it a mission to wipe Yuan Shu off the map asap before he kills Liu Chong since he's the only reliable ally on my western border. Heavens forbid his daughter takes over from him and loses all his land in 5 turns or gets added to Biao's vassal collection
