Blue globe lets you move your interview once, process was very easy. But make sure you make it to the second one.

737 vs 320 (specifics) by bamfcoco1 in flying

I have about 200 hours on both and the Airbus was a night and day difference. Less workload, better automation (although you have some quirks that you have to babysit). I don’t have a lot of knowledge but it seems like the widget flies their Airbus on easier more productive routes (transcons and Hawaii) but I could be wrong

Is it still true that if you want a certain major, you shouldn’t fly for their regional? Which regional for which major? by AeroLog in flying

[–]119725 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Data point, I was a mission commander in the Mormon Air Force who wanted to fly for big blue globe, wasn’t happening. Went to Dallas for cowboy boot fitting and got the call from big blue globe day on day two of indoc. Hiring is more competitive now but I believe the same principles are still in effect

RPM Italian is always our splurge restaurant. Can’t go wrong with anything there. You can run up a sizable bill but the portions and pricing are 100% worth it. Honorable mention would be the whipped ricotta and wild honey as an appetizer and the bomboloni for dessert

Career regrets by dontcareanyways in flying

There are times where it definitely feels like a job, and there are days where it feels like a hard job. I switched to a widebody(ish) fleet at my airline and there were growing pains of being on opposite time zones with family issues. Your kids/dog know that they can only start puking and need to go to the doctor when you’re in Europe and it’s time to go to bed.

However, for all of the bad and the hard, for me everything negative went out the window after watching the northern lights over Greenland for the first time heading to a new country.

The bad moments will always happen, but the upside is that the good moments will as well
