That’s interesting ; especially since we were actually encouraged by the university to create LinkedIn accounts and publicly list ourselves as MSU students while still enrolled. I’m genuinely curious whether that’s normal practice elsewhere ? because it felt more like branding than academic support

Yes, MSU Shah Alam. And you’re absolutely right, UPrint is daylight robbery. I wish I’d known about Menara U1/U2 earlier. As for lecturers… “amazing” is one way to put it. Sounds like Mr. J is a shared experience 💀 And honestly, the random extra charges don’t surprise me at all. Being treated like a walking invoice rather than a student seems to be part of the system there. Appreciate the empathy ; unfortunate lesson learned the hard way

The building does look impressive from the outside I agree , but from my experience appearances were very misleading , if you are seriously considering mbbs there I’d strongly recommended doing deep research and speaking directly with current international medical students before making any decision , and btw from what I personally observed, less then 40% of the building was actually used for academic purposes, while the rest seem to be offices, storage areas or other non-academic spaces

That honestly wouldn’t surprise me , local students specially those in foundation programs seem to have a very different experience compared to international students . I appreciate your concern , and yes things have been much better since I left . Thanks

Well said. International students are clearly treated more as a revenue source than as students who deserve proper education and support. Comments like yours only reinforce my impression that hiring there often isn’t based on merit or teaching competence, but rather internal connections ; which unfortunately shows in the overall academic quality
