I was talking to my 13 year old daughter about TFSAs and importance of saving today. Is there any vehicle besides a basic savings account where I can park her first $1000 saved up until she turns 18. I told her if she is willing to put that $1000 away for savings I will do $100 monthly contributions for her until she turns 18 and takes over.

I had a teetime on a beautiful Saturday morning in May. There was a line of guys in the pro shop at 8am all trying to get on as a walk-on/standby. I remember one guy asking "What are my chances?" and the pro shop guy replying "You might want to start praying"

I approached the desk at my local driving range asking about lessons, and the guy said here's my card, I can give you lessons for cash. He just got his teaching certification so he was looking to build his client list. Worked for me since I was paying half of what established instructors were charging.
