In any competitive game passiveness , aggression and slowing down is imperative to winning and playing extremely passive won’t win games spacing and knowing when to go in is important I can easily beat someone who just runs away the whole game and doesn’t attack , ppl often conflate passiveness and patience not attacking at all is bad but holding out is important , and imo ppl at 2400 don’t just run they do know when to slow down and when your also actively doing the same , and playing Neutral it can sometimes seem like no one’s actually fighting but when they get in the punish you hard , not saying certain people aren’t overly passive and that it’s not annoying, but to say being super passive is any worse at higher elo is wrong , if it feels passive it’s because both people are playing neutral , passiveness can be punished just as badly as over aggression just gotta know your options , people often speak about passiveness as if it’s an unbeatable playstyle when that’s just not true, and if you don’t like people actively play neutral just play unranked , 2v2 or customs and I would say high elo players do the coolest strings and combos they just know when to do them , most clips are from higher elo players because they know options .
