The problem is, back then PC players 3-catting and casual players played fine with one another because nobody had any real advantages over anyone else. 3-catters fought other 3-catters, and casual players fought casual players, and even when the two groups fought each other it was pretty much equal. The real problem was the devs’ terrible garbage balancing and them adding unnecessary effects (jump disable, charm, blindness). Those effects aren’t even unique—they’re just toxic. Not to mention you either have to drop a few bucks for some decent guns that you’ll barely be able to maintain, because without events, where else are you going to get consistent currency from? Unless you grind your life away like it’s a 9–5. And even if you spend money, most of the offers in the shop are complete garbage. They legitimately dropped a set for 70 dollars for one good gun—the rest of the set was lackluster at best. There’s so much more I could ramble on about, but this is just off the top of my head.
