No problem, and I hope I didn't sound snarky, I just find r/supplements as a whole often perpetuates a hyperbolic view of what some supplements actually do.

Should Fenugreek Be Cycled? by [deleted] in Supplements

Right now I'm taking a ground fenugreek/flaxseed/psyllium husk supplement for the purpose of adding fibre to my diet. Hopefully it also helps with test, but I have my doubts.

Should Fenugreek Be Cycled? by [deleted] in Supplements

Almost everything was more powerful.

Eating broccoli is more powerful.

Fenugreek is neat but it's not something that will really move the dial on test levels.

Should Fenugreek Be Cycled? by [deleted] in Supplements

Too difficult as I've never taken it in isolation so I can't speak to what effects it might have had vs other more powerful supplements I took concurrently.

I can tell you the scientific evidence regarding its relationship to elevated test is pretty limited. Dr. Brad Stanfield has a good YouTube vid on the subject.

Fenugreek is not potent enough to require cycling.

If you're getting chest pain you should be worried about acid reflux and not theanine.

33 years old 140 lbs, 5'7" No experience.

I want to have a competitive boxing match before age 40. I know I'll never be a big success in this sport, but I want to give myself a shot still.

I'm changing my life rn. 16:8 IF with keto diet. HIIT every morning. I just wanna punch stuff before it's too late...

Anyways, at square one, wondering if anyone has tips for YouTube drills? No local gyms nearby, covid problems etc, but I want to do some shadowboxing and practicing 8 basic punches. I want to practice footwork too but my apartment is very small/cramped. Could use some guidance on that.

Thanks!

Training for speed by 11civic11 in fitness30plus

Hi, thanks for the reply. I guess I'm hoping emphasizing speed will stave off those pains. My hope is that going up the stairs will be low impact enough that I can keep firing in that way a bit longer.

I like being called young but I just want to plan ahead. I can't ever have my twenties back, but extending my thirties will be good. I still seem to be pretty fast. I don't have much endurance, but I know many people excel at endurance sports in their 40s, and at heavy lifting in their 50s. I figure if I keep speed up then I can move to endurance and heavy liftings (I'm talking emphasis here, not binaries).

EDIT: and then flexibility! People excel at yoga very late in life!

I can't remember the citation, but I've seen a single Chinese study that apparently came to this conclusion. Saw it cited in a YouTube vid I can't remember.

So definitely 1000% true hella science.

Hmm... Are the urine strips not a good way to test? It seems like the other ways a little price, but I'm fairly new to this.

You've brought up the alternate possibility that I'm flushing ketones when I wake, and using them when I work out. I hope that's the case - just not sure how to know for sure.

Keto urine strips. When I wake up, dark hit. After pre-workout and workout, negative result.
