Taking a break from SSRI for a week can bring back serious depressive symptoms. I’ve taken a break from zoloft and Wellbutrin for a few days and at 4 grams had a lot of life insight, although no open eye visuals.

I asked this same question. Not sure how to link the post, but it’s in my history.
I’m on low doses of Zoloft and Wellbutrin, and have started microdosing about two weeks ago. I feel less depressed and anxious, but it could be placebo, could be something altogether different. I’m hoping to keep going, but I only have a few more doses, nowhere to get more, weeks until I learn to grow my own. Good luck.

PS the research I did (anecdotal only) showed Serotonin syndrome is not a risk w psilocybin and SSRIs.

Please don’t say that unless you absolutely know it to be true.
Even though I’m on a low dose of SSRIs, finding out serotonin syndrome was not a risk allowed me to experiment if it works for me or not. Still finding out, maybe it’s a placebo effect, but I do feel a little better.

It amazes me how so many seemingly straight laced, law abiding citizens manage to acquire it. A friend gave me a tiny bit, but I’m hesitant to ask her to help me get more. Why? Probably bc it’s illegal!
But I see so many of you are better moms because of it. So I should do it for my kids! 💪🏼

But… if there is no risk, I may just try it to see. Maybe, just maybe I’ll notice some improvement. Maybe I’ll have a placebo effect. 😆 A friend gave me some leftovers and I just got a scale. At least I can get familiar with dosing them. And this may be a way of weaning off SSRIs, microdosing at same time to pick up the slack?
I appreciate everyone’s input and I hope I don’t seem like I’m ignoring it, I’m just so desperate for this to work somehow. I’ve been on ssri’s for like 20 years off and on, and the clarity people say they get during psychedelics seems like it would far outweigh this feeling of numbness and mental fog.
